    I don’t agree that there will never be a solution. With this field of view, plus the use of cameras on the side, it’s very possible. Say you were backing out of a spot with cars on both sides of you. The USS on the side rear are not seeing the cross traffic until the car is already exposed. I...

    Thanks a lot for this feedback. If I go the HomeLink route, I'll definitely have Tesla do it, if it's just a matter of saving $100 and still having to remove the front bumper. I've been enjoying MyQ so far and may end up just sticking with that.

    Thanks! I'd love to install it myself, but can't find the part (except Tesla). $350 seems steep to me for something I could easily do myself.

    Where did you purchase your HomeLink? Did you pay the full $350 to Tesla and install yourself?

    This is very interesting, and encouraging for those of us without USS. My bet would be that we are looking at the software update "sometime in 2023". Wouldn't surprise me if it's towards the end of 2023, either.
