When activated, it simply replaces the auto high beams which is exactly the same as I've had in a previous car with matrix lights.

It's exactly the same workflow as it was before with auto high beams, except that now when they are active the pixels will blank out.

I noticed a few releases ago that it was spotting indicators when on AP and reacting which was clever. I even spotted that when a car one lane to the left ahead of me on a motorway started indicating that AP changed it to the target (darker grey) before it had even started to make the lane change.

Not from the video clips I've seen of UK 3/Ys with the feature. To be fair though, my previous car (Discovery Sport) with matrix lights also used to blank off parked vehicles but they were in laybys on A-roads as it recognised built up streetlit areas and didn't activate them.

You do have physical controls for the wipers though. Button on the end of the stalk to wipe once (and bring up the wiper control box) and the left hand left/right steering wheel toggle to adjust the speed.

If you have auto high beam turned on, then the high beam will activate automatically and so will the adaptives. No intervention (other than initially turning on the setting to say that you want them) is needed.
