Front Passenger Safety Restraint System Fault

also, like don't put an obviously exposed control box in an area that will be getting wet from either teh seat or the humidity from the floor at all times. bad planning.

Front Passenger Safety Restraint System Fault

anyone with basic electronics knowledge knows, just encase the control box in epoxy, it'll cost like 5$ more and it'll outlast the car. Tesla needs more electrical and electronics familiar folks working for their SC's, not just mechanics trained in electrical, rather have more, or at least one...

Front Passenger Safety Restraint System Fault

I think the retrofit kit is just the OCS filter, basically a super basic iron core filter that goes on the seat warmer cable to lessen (clearly not eliminate) it's interference with the sensor. You can get the part from a wrecker or on ebay, but you should probably get the matching set between...

Front Passenger Safety Restraint System Fault

teh sensor itself seems very simple to change, but in looking around I've seen many different 'series' of both sensor and seat control modules. I get the impression than a complete seat swap may have them integrate in the latest hardware versions of all components, but can't be sure. One...

Warranty dispute with local service centre

So I've done as suggested and made an appointment at another SC, make mention that it should be under the SRS warranty and they've made the repair estimate 0$. I also mentioned that many SC in the US are covering it under that warranty, may have helped the cause ... fingers crossed.

is the 60k mile warranty for you the SRS? I think so since SRS for me is 100,000km which is pretty close to 60k miles. My understanding is that it should fall under the SRS warranty anyways, but my local SC says it's under the base warranty (80,000km/3y)

Front Passenger Safety Restraint System Fault

That's the OCS filter, there's a TSB out for it I thiink. I had mine installed nearly 2 years ago. My issue, despite there being an OCS filter, doesn't happen when the heated seat is OFF, so it's clearly Still related!

Warranty dispute with local service centre

yeah maybe I'll try that with a different service centre, thanks. passenger seat occupancy sensor, I've read, and even my main SC hinted that it would be covered under the 5 year SRS warranty but finally they called me back to say that teh service manager said it would not be. however I've read...

Warranty dispute with local service centre

Hello, I've got a dispute with the local service centre over a warranty item which should fall under the SRS warranty of 5 years, but they're putting it under the general, 3 year, warranty, I can't find any other method to contact a real person other than in the app, but each time I contact in...

Front Passenger Safety Restraint System Fault

On that note, I"ve tried to find a way to contact Tesla corporate, or otherwise, so as to dispute the decision of my local service centre to not honor the occupancy sensor under the SRS warranty, but have not been able to find a number, email, or otherwise, to do so, I keep getting redirected to...

Front Passenger Safety Restraint System Fault

I've just joined because of this thread, my 2019 TM3 just surpassed the initial warranty and I'm getting the same error. My local service centre is not honoring the 5y SRS warranty to swap out the passenger seat, they tell me that it only covers the airbags and seatbelts, and as a result want to...
