Thank you so much for this information! As an owner of a ‘14 85 with 208k & counting who lives just outside of Chicago
I’m thankful & going to save this!
@ViperGTS I think that’s normal. I plan on doing what you are doing/did (with that square setup) & exact same size tires.
The guy from Holland @PTMM is the OG & showed everyone that on this thread’s earlier pages about this a few years ago.
Let me know how that works for you but I think it...
Yeah, I’m sorry I mistakingly thought you meant with the 20’s. You should be good with the 19’s except for if you’re trying the Tempest’s most recent version because those are 9.5 wide I think? So be careful with those but any others are only 9” wide so that should be all gravy baby
I’m using 3D right now here and it worked ok…the other one last night was really weird. Someone else on here please try that and see what I’m talking about sometime
I’m here using it now and it was strange because the first one I tried to use ( either 2D or 3A?) it was like the made the handle too big. My car wouldn’t take it and kept saying error. so I moved to 1B and fortunately it worked.
This story frustrates me so much because those fools could have just went pretty much across the road and used one of the 4-8? Level 2 chargers at the mall to at least keep from having their car’s turtle up…idiots lol
The next day I was at the Rockford Supercharger by the Cherryvale mall and the...
@evo9rs I went conservative with 245/40/20 fronts and 275/40/20 rears. If you went with a lower profile you could maaayyyybe fit 255/30/20’s or 255/35/20’s but I’m not 100% sure because they might rub. On the big thread from here where I got the idea to use these Model X rims, lots of people...
Just wanted to chime in and remind people that the OEM Model X 20” slipstreams fit perfectly without spacers or modifications. There’s a big 8+ page thread you can dig up about all of us who have done it. I liked it so much I’m now on the hunt for all 4 MX “fronts” to build a square set of them...
as someone who owns a June 2014 85, I wouldn’t buy anything that was produced earlier than what mine was. I haven’t had any serious problems and am about to hit 200,000 miles
Great advice from the earlier responses, I agree with them…enjoy~!
@BigDeep yes it’s been great. I liked using the staggered model X rims so much this summer that I’m now thinking of building a square set of all 4 model x “fronts”. Let’s talk if you’re interested in buying my staggered set of 2018 model X rims…but I would like to keep my Baolong gen 1 sensors...
A few weeks ago I talked to someone who has a relative who works for the city and he said it might be “a few more weeks” but that’s been 3-4 weeks since then unfortunately.
Nice list…I’m happy that BB/Kankakee finally is getting one.
I’m a Monical’s pizza fan so I would add them to the Gilman food list 🍕. Even though it’s a block or so away 😂
Bump
I’m interested but unfortunately I don’t have the money for a few weeks. I definitely need at least 1 of the fronts because I don’t have a spare 20. I’ll pm you
Thanks for the great photos~! I will be working only a miles from these tomorrow afternoon so I’ll post more if anything moves forward from how it looks in these
Stopped by here late last night after seeing a concert in STL. Good spot since it’s only a few blocks off the highways. My only complaint was there wasn’t anything open for food/drinks at 2 am but oh well. It looks like a decent spot in normal times of the day and it’s a few miles closer for me...
Wow there’s already 1 a couple of exits down the road….after just coming back from St. Louis last night, the Lincoln, IL area would be a better spot in my opinion than this. Oh well, I won’t complain so hey…
Do it brother, but only if you try hard to find one with warranty in your budget and can’t. I was lucky enough to find one that had a few months of warranty left so that provided some piece of mind.
It’s a roll of the dice to be an owner of an older model S….
But I’m rolling those dice right...
Someone parked a cool shade of blue Taycan by me the other day and it had me thinking….Also the Audi, forgot the name of it (RS E-tron maybe?) has cool looks too.
This is the Supercharger that I’m most looking forward to being done because I use I-43 every time coming from Rockford! Too bad it won’t be completed until after Summerfest though
