Thank you for the educative stuff! Got the car back from the service the same day, Tesla peeps telling me it was a firmware issue. Got it upgraded from 38.4 to 38.6 from Service. Here's to hoping it will not come back again to haunt me.

Tried your suggestion with the tire size change but to no avail. Did not have the nerve to disconnect the 12v battery as the car is still in warranty and had no idea how to disconnect the responder loop. What is that BTW?
