I ended up buying the additional tires. I actually wanted to get a set of wheels and all-season tires but they didn’t have wheels in stock, hence this was the next option. I will have a snowy drive on my way home on Sunday, therefore I needed the summer tires off one way or the other.

This is how my rep responded for the same question. :( We have not seen any vehicles with new Autopilot hardware, nor has Tesla made any official announcement or mention of it. We cannot comment on online rumors.

Thanks for the replies. Cybertruck and Semi use of extra cameras makes sense, which I didn’t think of. Still, though, curious to see how, especially forward parking with vision only of the windshield cameras will work. While creeping forward, the object will eventually be out of cameras’ view.
