If you are asking about the "Safety restraint system fault" mine was repaired under warranty for the passenger seat. I did have an estimated cost listed, but it was covered under warranty.
Mine has done that a couple of times. The message pops up overnight and by the time I get up the car\charger has gone past the message and charged to the preset limit.
Finally, this issue has been resolved. I received a message in the app last Tuesday 5\2 that the service was scheduled for 5\6 at 8:15AM. So, I left home this morning at 6AM for the 8:15 appoitment. The service department was going to have me come back Monday. I told the service writer I thought...
I understand the process and why the service appointments have been rescheduled and I appreciate the reasoning for not leaving my car sitting all alone in a service bay for an extended period.
However, it's disheartening that the car identifies the issue as a safety issue and Tesla cannot...
I haven't messaged Tesla and asked about the parts availability. Tesla messaged me. The first cancellation mentioned parts were not available. The message I received today didn't give me a reason, I was just told the appointment was rescheduled.
I lost the password to my home charger and sent Tesla an email with the part number and serial number like jjrandorin suggested and I received a reply with the info in less than 24 hours.
That's great the tech took the time to isolate the issue and resolved it.
Did your error condition come up after you had the car awhile?
I get the error as soon as I step on the brake and it started happening after I had 1200 miles or so on the car.
I received a notification this morning reminding me of my upcoming appointment for 4\13. Less than an hour later I received another notification that my appointment was rescheduled for 4\20 due to a lack of parts. And the 4\20 appointment is two hours earlier so I get to play in rush hour traffic.
Seems like they would do a little troubleshooting before just replacing the seat, but maybe the sensor is part of the seat and it's just easier and less time consuming to replace the entire seat.
Where you notified the appointment pushed back before your scheduled time? It's a 73 mile one-way...
Well, that didn't work. When I say "U S B" I receive an error "Unrecognized command" or something similar.
I did select the USB from the menu and told it to play a song and it did, but I found out the song was from somewhere other than my USB drive.
Thanks for the info. I'll try the "Switch to U S B."
I did learn I can't say "Set fan to 3" and I have to say "Set fan to.......3." If I don't pause it tries to set the fan to 23.
Thanks.
The only issue I have now is when I get out and lock the car, it will not start playing the song that was playing when I got out of the car. I have a spinning wheel on the screen where the song info should be and I have to manually select the USB icon to start a song.
I have it working, however I'm sure what the fix was. I reformatted the drive and created two partitions and instead of making the partitions equal in size I made the TESLADRIVE partition 2/3 of the drive and the other the remaining 1/3 and I named the second partition Songs and just dumped the...
Thanks for the reply.
I wasn't able to work on this yesterday and my intention today was to split the smaller drive into tow partitions and test that.
I did mean the other partition was named Music. I created a partition named Music and I added a folder labeled Music.
I did not use a Master...
I’m struggling with this. I have a ’23 M3 and I purchased one of the Samsung T7 1TB drives created two partitions equal in size and formatted in exFAT. One partition I named TESLADRIVE and created a TeslaCam folder. The other folder I named Music. And I’m connecting to the USB port in the...
Yesterday I was able to connect to the wall charger with the network info and noticed a firmware update was available. Since then I haven't been able to reconnect even with restarts and attempting to connect within the five minute timeframe. Today I re-stared the wall charger and couldn't...
For the record it does fit. It clears the opening in the backseat wall with a little room to spare. it may even fit with the back seat up, but I didn't try it since I would need a least one seat down to fit the BatCaddy and the clubs in the car.
