Discussion: Model Y General Waiting room for orders placed After January 2023

Ooof that's tempting, but I already got third-party financing worked out for a particular VIN. The check is supposed to arrive today. That's a good point though, would I be able to show up with this check and purchase this other VIN? Everything in the contract with my CU would remain exactly the...

Based on the likelihood of the MY continuing to qualify for at least half the credit, the question really just comes down to whether or not you value and want the features of the MYP and don't mind paying for the upfront cost to upgrade + any ongoing cost differences between the MYLR and MYP...

Update on the Tesla saga. First VIN was reassigned to someone else. We almost caved to panic buying and considered upgrading to the Performance but ultimately decided to wait things out. That paid off as we just got a new VIN assigned with a projected pickup date of April 9-15. So unless this...

Tesla Lending Question: one person on loan, two co-registrants? I'll be financing my MY with a CU. One person will be on the loan. Two people will be on the title and registration. I have approval with the CU to do this and have talked to others who have structured their transaction this way...

Smart. I definitely fall into this camp of having many desired configurations. I ordered an MSM MY but would gladly take a white or blue MY if it were available. Their current accelerated delivery options is a bad take at solving this problem.

How would you go about changing the pickup location? Also, would you then be subjected to Fremont's 10.5% sales tax?

Credit Unions with good rates that accept applicants anywhere within the US?

Mind elaborating on the process? I'm in a similar situation. What exactly happens after being approved for the loan, approved for membership, signing the membership documents, and funding the membership fees? And to clarify, are you saying that you did all of this by 3/1 and just barely heard...

Yup; respect the EDD range, at the very least. And if they're customer-centric, maybe even go the extra mile and accommodate a small delay in cases where the reasoning is there, but that's icing on the cake. I don't see how that's controversial. While I appreciate that it's available sooner...

Super basic. MSM with black interior and gemini wheels.

Hmmm that's an interesting take. Which I guess coincides with Tesla and Volvo's updated verbiage on the tax-credit situation.

td;dr: Might have to forfeit current VIN. Anyone have insight on VIN reassignment timeline? Will I be placed at the end of the queue (April-June delivery) or will I be reassigned the next available VIN that matches my configuration? Context: EDD was between 3/19-3/25. I got a text yesterday...

Credit Unions with good rates that accept applicants anywhere within the US?

Is GAP protection advisable or a waste? Looks like ARMCO is offering it for $265 on a $53k loan. I thought these policies were way more expensive? My only reference point is my brother who paid $900 for GAP against a $34k loan on a Ford Mustang back in 2018. 🥲
