I called this number to speak with them live the other day...888-518-3752. The wait was roughly 10 mins to get them on the line, and another 10 for them to provide me with the current status of the car.

Same here. I've been checking my app regularly since corsi1 reported the vin disappearing. I can't even imagine the hassle with my insurer if I have to call to change.

I remember filling out the IRS 8936 form a few years back for my wife, and you have to enter the date that the car was placed "in service". If I am not mistaken, that means the date you take delivery. Don't forget to fill out the form when you do your 2023 taxes.

Sheesh, that is incredibly fast! I have not received my vin yet and I ordered 2 weeks before you. Based on many other posts here, that delivery date can shift forward or backward at any time.

Sorry, I can imagine the disappointment. I am worried about the level of "imperfection" with a 10-day lead time. I'd be worried that it's more than superficial, like a potential fender bender vs. an "imperfection".

I haven't been lucky enough to find one in inventory in my area, and I expanded the search to 200 miles. I've been checking since early Feb, everything over here is RWD. If I were in Austin, I'd be at the factory molesting them for one on the spot. :p

Same here. My order date was 2/23. I took the weekend to detox from constantly opening the app to see if there was an update. I'm on my 2nd day of not touching the app and feeling better. Lol. If the EV credit changes drastically before delivery, I'll likely cancel my order.
