P85 Model S upgraded from 416hp to 470hp but 0-60 mph rate still the same?

I read few other threads on this topic and it seems that most people agree that nothing was changed in the motor, it's just a specs boost.

Hearing about the D just 9 days after taking delivery of P85+ merits a switch!!!

You will be eaten alive here by the "fanboys" and "investors" who do not understand the meaning of "satisfied customer" and the purpose of customer service. I agree with you 100% btw, but it is a lost clause to argue here. Let's stay in touch outside this forum.

P85 Model S upgraded from 416hp to 470hp but 0-60 mph rate still the same?

I searched, but did not find any related discussion. Last week Tesla bumped the horse power on the P85 Model S from 416hp to 470hp (rear wheel drive). This is a significant improvement, why is the acceleration rate still the same (0-60 in 4.2 sec)? Am I missing something?

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

I agree, there is no reason to argue here.

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

Who said I will have to decide? Who said I am forcing Tesla? I just said what is an acceptable amount for me and what's not. Tesla made extra money from my purchase because I paid the full price and they did not have to include the new sensors - so I am expecting a slightly better offer for my 2...

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

The name calling happened at the beginning of this thread - not by you, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

That's exactly what's wrong with most of the comments on this thread - they don't even get the problem, but are very fast at calling other members names. Just see my previous comments on this and other threads, do not feel like explaining everything over again.

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

Exactly, the problem is that they started shipping new features without announcing them. This caused a lot of happy/surprised customers but also a lot of pissed new Tesla owners. Every other company first announces their new products and then starts shipping them. Tesla did it the other way around.

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

I am waiting on a quote from Tesla. $6k would be ok with me, $8k is too much.

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

I seriously doubt you would still say that if you missed the new sensors by 2 days because Tesla decided to produce and ship your car earlier. Obviously if I bought my Tesla back in 2012, I could also care less what petition somebody is trying push.

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

    It's not that complicated - companies usually have 30 days money back guarantee. - - - Updated - - - I own a Tesla and I signed the petition.

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

You don't even get what the issue is here. If you bought your Dell laptop yesterday and today Dell announced a better laptop for the same price, I am sure Dell will give you a refund or do something to make you happy.
  13. pzz

Petition to force Tesla to come up with a retrofit for AutoPilot

Exactly, are there any mods here? Yes, I will sign the petition. I am glad somebody started it. As with everything else, unless people are directly impacted, they are just ignorant. Why does it bother some forum members that there is an ongoing petition. You don't like it, don't sign it up -...

Hearing about the D just 9 days after taking delivery of P85+ merits a switch!!!

Of course you are OK, only people who missed the sensors by few days are complaining (including myself). I have not seen one comment from a new owner that missed the new sensors by few days and is ok with it. It is very easy for some of you to say that you got what you paid for when you are not...

If you do not mind, Please post your trade in offer from Tesla so we can compare note

Yes, I knew this $1000 per month was too good to be true.

If you do not mind, Please post your trade in offer from Tesla so we can compare note

If that's true, it is not bad at all - I can trade in my 2 weeks old P85 and get the new model for only $1000-$2000 loss?

Join us if you are upset with the introduction of the D (RHD)

My beef is not with the AWD but with the new sensors - Tesla just randomly decided who will get them and who will not. If I want a random outcome, I will play the lottery - I do not find this appropriate when you spend $112k for a car.

Hearing about the D just 9 days after taking delivery of P85+ merits a switch!!!

It's not a matter of what car companies do or don't, it's a matter of customer satisfaction. In that case we have a customer that is not happy and that's a fact. I am in the same boat - my P85 was delivered on September 25th without the new sensors. It was initially scheduled to be delivered on...

Is it time for Tesla to do traditional model years?

I agree 100% - based on my calculations, I missed the new autopilot features by 2 days (my P85 was delivered on September 25th without the sensors). Still have sour taste in my mouth. I am willing to pay for a retrofit, but even this is not an option. Tesla will not do anything about it unless...

    Are Parking Sensors now standard?

Yes, I did the configuration last night.

Did you feel that? The rapid acceleration of depreciation of your P85

I will contact Tesla because I got my P85 2 weeks ago without the new sensors, but I doubt they will do anything.

    Are Parking Sensors now standard?

Yes, they are now part of the package. Leather seats are now also included at no extra charge.

    Resale Value?

For a short time last night I also thought about selling my 2 weeks old P85 in oder to get the new sensors (don't care about AWD since I live in Florida). I think I will lose more then 10k and that's just too much. I wish I could add the sensors for let's say, $4000? I would jump on that right...

    AWD, and 295 range, retrofitable?

I read somewhere (USA Today maybe?) that none of the new features are retrofittable, unfortunately.

Range of the X given Dual Motor reveal?

I think it will be a very bold move if they remove the mirrors and replace them with cameras.

Should Tesla have kept the '+' moniker for the P85D?

I personally think not many people bought the + option and that's why Tesla eliminated it.

Sideview Mirror Cap Popped off by itself! Should replacement be under warranty?

Just curious - what are those sensors inside the mirror box? I know the cables are for the motor that moves the mirror, but what are the other cables for?

Speed Assist and Lane Departure Warning

That's right, just like any other tech company - order after a new product is announced so we won't be in that situation again. The only problem is that this is not a $1,000 computer, but a $100,000 car - that's why it hurts even more. If I was not impacted, I would also say that this is not...

Speed Assist and Lane Departure Warning

Ok, realistically the speed assists can be crowdsourced and be pushed to drivers that do not have that feature (or just used the GPS data for it). The extra front parking sensors are nice, but not really a "safety" feature. Line departure is definitely nice, especially on long trips. I...

Speed Assist and Lane Departure Warning

The problem is that I paid the same price for the car as the person who got the new features 3 days after my delivery. I should at least get a Tesla t-shirt :) I think Tesla should have reflected the new features in the pricing - that way it would be fair to everybody: did not get the new...

Speed Assist and Lane Departure Warning

I read on some websites that Tesla said they cannot retrofit those features, but nothing is official yet. There is still hope. Let's wait and see.

Speed Assist and Lane Departure Warning

I agree 100% with you. If those new features came few months down the line, I would not even think about it, but in my case was a matter of 2-3 days. Either way, I love my new P85. I am still afraid to press the gas pedal all the way down :)

Speed Assist and Lane Departure Warning

I took delivery of my 85P on September 25 and it did not have any of the new sensors (I am located in Florida). Needless to say that I am pissed since I missed having everything probably just by few days. Those features were the only reason I did not buy my Tesla earlier and then of course they...
