Supercharger - Farr West, UT (Permit 2023)

What you are seeing is a switch box, not a V3 cabinet. The prefab stalls each have 1 cabinet attached to the base with 4 stalls.

Supercharger - Bryce Canyon City, UT

I hope this one doesn't get axed with the recent mass layoffs in the Tesla Charging division. This will be an extremely useful site.

    Supercharger - Vernal, UT

@tech_kody any update on this one? If your brother can go out and get pictures, can you please have him look to see if the big white cabinets are installed or a transformer (usually green)? Edit: @Frosty1887 have you seen any updates either?

Those are just the dispensers. So far all V4 dispensers have been fed by V3 cabinets, so when the original post mentioned V4 cabinets spotted on site I got excited.

Supercharger - Hollywood, CA (under construction Sep 2023, 32 stalls + diner)

Not too far from done though either. The main building is mostly complete and they just need to work interiors and they have already run conduits for the Supercharger cabinets and stalls. Still has at least a couple of months to go, but probably open sometime this summer. Progress as of April...

Supercharger - Salt Lake City, Utah - Winco

Update from Adrian Payeton in the Facebook Utah Tesla group: There are 20 stalls, not 16. @Chuq @Big Earl do you have that ability to edit the Supercharger count to reflect 20 stalls on Supercharge.info?

For what it's worth, my Tesla app still shows 120 kW max, but drivers are reporting actually getting 150 kW.

    Supercharger - Farmington, NM

It was originally 120kw shared (around 60kw per vehicle if sharing) and we are now seeing 150kw shared (around 75kw per vehicle when sharing) Supercharge.info is out-of-date

It appears that these have been upgraded to 150 kW recently.

Supercharger - Las Vegas (Decatur & Russell)

Looked at the Otonomus website and they are advertising Tesla V3 Superchargers on site. This is half apartment complex and half short term rentals (Airbnb), so I don't understand why Superchargers are necessary or a selling point. What I think would be a much bigger selling point and would take...

Number of stalls opened each year. Limitations: 1. Sites that have closed do not appear in this data set. 2. Some sites may have expanded or changed, but the Open Date did not change. Sites that were upgraded to include more stalls or had their v1 and v2 posts replaced by v3 ones will make it...

Supercharger - Farr West, UT (Permit 2023)

Jenny from Tesla said it will be a few months away when talking to the Planning Commission in December. My guess is that it's late spring or summer.
  25. corbin630

538 new stations turned on in 2023

Yes, I know how to get the current count, but the historical stalls numbers are harder to find unless I can get a big data dump of the supercharge.info data with open date and number of stalls. I haven't seen a way to download all of that and don't want to count it manually.

Supercharger - Nephi, UT - South Main Street

The kVa rating at 480v does not mean that the unit can output a maximum of 350 kW. The input can go as high as 528v and the peak rating is going to be higher than the continuous rating. The cabinets can share the energy through the DC bus at a higher voltage as well, so they can actually exceed...
  27. corbin630

Supercharger - Nephi, UT - South Main Street

V3 chargers share 575 kW per 4 posts, so they could theoretically charge 4 cars at 143.75 kW per post. In reality you will rarely see 4 cars arriving at the same time requesting that much power, plus each cabinet (4 posts per cabinet) power shares across the whole site and most stations at this...

Harder numbers for me personally to find reliable numbers on. If someone else wants to take a stab at it I would love to see those numbers as well.

They delivered 1.8 million cars worldwide. My numbers are for the US market only.

538 new stations turned on in 2023

Quick update. I probably could have made it prettier and found more complete data, but this shows the number of Teslas sold in the US per year as well as the number of stations opened that year. I only have data going back to 2015 on the US sales and I had to estimate the Q4 US sales for 2023...

538 new stations turned on in 2023

2023 was another record breaking year for stations as Tesla opened up 538 new sites to bring the total to 2,362 sites in North America. I'm expecting close to 700 new stations in 2024 with the pace that they are on.

Supercharger - Farr West, UT (Permit 2023)

I haven't been able to track down the minutes from the past planning commission or city council meetings, but I did find out that the planning commission is sending the Tesla plans to the city council for approval or denial.
  39. corbin630

Now that NACS is becoming the standard, do you think highway restaurants will start installing charging options?

Restaurants could cheaply install Tesla Universal Wall Connectors that charge at 30 to 44 miles per hour and that is going to be plenty for many customers who sit there for an hour for a meal. Might even encourage them to stay a little later and order dessert. People who don't charge at home...

Supercharger - Farr West, UT (Permit 2023)

I was looking at that and wondering if that was a marketing term they were going to be using, but I assume that they mean this is the max length a Cybertruck can tow and still make that turn into the pull through space. The Cybertruck is towing in the diagram.

Supercharger - Farr West, UT (Permit 2023)

Interesting configuration with cabinet 1 feeding 2 pull through spots and 2 back in spots and then cabinets 2 and 3 on either side.

Supercharger - Farr West, UT (Permit 2023)

@Chuq @Big Earl do you have the ability to add this to the Supercharge.info map? Edit: Re-reading this I see that the actual permit has not been confirmed yet, but the proposal was provided to the city planning commission. Maybe wait to add it to the map until a confirmed permit is seen.

tracking automaker nacs adoption in NA

My understanding of the "delaying EV plans" news is that they are not opening up new battery plants as fast and are not launching as many new models, but they are still going to be producing the existing models that they have and will be switching them over to NACS still for the 2025 model year...

tracking automaker nacs adoption in NA

Exactly! Car manufacturers don't like mid-year changes, so they wait for a new model year to make the changes. By the time they decided to add NACS in Spring and Summer 2023, they had already ordered parts and designed cars for CCS ports in the 2024 model year. They will begin adding NACS to the...

tracking automaker nacs adoption in NA

I have heard it from interviews. I can look for examples, but the way that automakers who are not Tesla work is they make all of their changes for the model year and do not change mid-year. GM when interviewed said that the 2025 Model Year Silverado will have NACS and the 2024 Model Year will...
