    Dead battery after 64,000 miles!

They said MCU was the problem after upgrading recalled eMMC. Tried to sell me a new $1750 upgraded MCU and a $1750 upgraded infotainment system plus labor, of course. I said I didnt want them—just want regular screen to work. Not sure what they did but everything is working except reverse...

RTA stuck on after Emmc upgrade

When the car shut down three months ago the repair looked at 12V and said it was fine. Instead, I had to replace the main battery. Did that. I’m wondering if-while doing the eMMC upgrade-something might have been loosened? I can’t open the car to do anything. I also noticed right after recall...

    Dead battery after 64,000 miles!

They said the 12V wasn’t the issue and I had to buy a new battery. Then, just had the eMMC recall repair done and next day the car won’t open or wake up or connect to app....

Model S won’t wake up or open after eMMC repair

Last week, I had the eMMC recall repair done on 2014 Model S P85+ with 71,000 miles (but got a new $13000 battery after original died 3 months ago!!). Day after recall repair, the car wouldn’t open or wake up. Key didn’t do anything. App didn’t do anything-just “times out”. Next day, it started...

    Dead battery after 64,000 miles!

No alert. Simply parked and next day it wouldnt turn back on. Message said something like charge too low to turn on system. yes, battery had just passed the 8 year mark. Tesla repair shop said the batteries can just go out without warning for no reason. That sounded pretty lame to me.

    Dead battery after 64,000 miles!

No issues with degradation before as it took and kept a charge well. Kept charge to anout 70-80%. Seemed to get just as good performance as our 2021 model 3. Warranty had run out 6 months earlier. I was the original owner. Literally, worked perfectly then wouldn't turn on.

    2015 Model S 85D - New Owner

Every one of my doorhandles failed when the plastic paddles on them broke on my 2014 model S. Also just has the battery fail with only 64,000 miles on it. No warning before that or any difficulty with charging. I use a standard Tesla charger in my garage. so best of luck to you. So far, the...

HV Battery failure! 2014 S85 with 43,000 miles, single owner car

I am noticing several posts about the exact same 2014 model SP 85 battery. Mine had just expired from its warranty. I had only 64,000 miles on it and it failed. $15,000 to replace it in Austin Texas. Does anyone know if perhaps it is just this year and model but it’s having such problems with...

    Dead battery after 64,000 miles!

My 2014 Tesla model S P85+ had 64,000 miles on it in this summer (2023) and the battery died. I thought they were supposed to last at least 100,000 miles. I saw a comment by Elon Musk saying they would last between 300,000 to 500,000 miles. Having to replace a battery after 64,000 miles at a...

Unlock Charge Port on Dead as a Doorknob 2014 Model S

My 2014 model S has about 60,000 miles on it so battery should be fine. Let it sit without charging in cold weather and now it is dead. Can’t open charge port even with phone app. It is an earlier model so it can’t push open either. Any thoughts? Needed to get repairs after a storm but can’t...
