I get a similar rattle from the rear. Though a bit of trial and error I think it’s from the headrests though but sounds like the seatbelt hitting plastic.

I was getting it frequently on my MY LR. I logged a service and they said it’s a known issue. Since the most recent software update (2023.20.9) it has only happened maybe once.

That’s it. I’m headed to a regional area with an NRMA charger that seems to be in and out of service with another NRMA option a little way away but still mostly on the route. Or a supercharger really out of the way. Otherwise it will be type 2 chargers and long wait.

Has anyone taken their long range on a highway trip? Got my first one planned and ABRP is indicating about 300ish km range from 100-26% - I was maybe expecting more like 400km but wondering what other real world experiences are.

Thanks I just had that confirmed from service too that it’s a firmware issue they’re working on. Only a minor inconvenience really. Hopefully the next update with ‘drive on sunshine’ will drop soon.

Has anyone with a new Model Y LR had issues with the screen being blank and unresponsive when you enter the car? I’ve had it maybe five times now. Pressing the scroll wheels solves it. And I did a power cycle (power down - wait 2mins start up) and that hasn’t fixed it. Not sure if it’s just a...

Oh man if you just took delivery of your LR (like me) don’t look at the new pricing 🫣 I assume they won’t be refunding me…

I’m tossing up the same. Have the wall charger in a carport but couldn’t run enough power to the garage without having to trench the backyard. I think I’ll get one ‘just in case’ and maybe for the occasional top up in the garage or to precondition and not drain the battery.

Just got the delivery text and scheduled for next week. Original order was Aug 22, switched to LR around 10 April. Vanilla LR.

Interesting. My original order was early August 2022 and switched to LR about an week after they launched in April. No love yet for a delivery text. Hopefully soon. Doesn’t seem like original order date means much, looks to be fairly random IMO.

I noticed in the Tesla installable options is for the external ‘boombox’. Do we know if any of the recently delivered Model Ys have the boombox installed from the factory? I thought that was limited to other markets previously.

That’s exciting that one of the first LR will be delivered. I’ll be really interested if there are any noticeable differences to the build compared to what we have seen in Australian RWD and MYP to date. Don’t think I’ll be seeing mine until the end of the month at best.

Hmmm my LR still says 26 May to 16 June but I suspect 11 - 30 June more realistic.

I know a few people are watching this closely. Might allow a few extra options on the LR after July.

Interesting. RWD orders are showing Jul-Sept now. Hopefully it’s just that the initial allocation of LR are done and it will be new orders in Jun-Jul. But I suspect unless we start getting VINs soon we won’t be getting them before July. I assume they do LR builds at the same time as P models...

I think a lot of people are in that boat. It will be interesting how they manage the people who swapped vs people who ordered outright. I don’t know that they will put people who swapped ahead of people who ordered first up on day 1 of LR orders (personally I hope they do :) ).

I think just having a date would be better than no date. I’m still clinging to the website saying May-Jun with my expectation more like Jun-July but secretly, and unrealistically, hoping that they jump straight to allocating VINs for late May delivery….

I had a delivery window of end of Aprl-mid May and final invoice. Then on around 8 April it changed to end of May mid Jun. Thats when I switched to LR (before the 10 April ‘cut off’).

The struggle is real. Changed my RWD Aug order with a VIN after the EDD was pushed to May/Jun… so figured may as well swap… now the impatient wait continues.
