Because China factory used LFP other than 4680 or 2170 in north America. LFP has shorter range but can charge up to 100% everyday, not like up to 80% recommended for 4680 or 2170. Some said they even get more efficient daily range with LFP battery.

Read news that Canada RWD order will ship from China other than US. Not surprised to have 2 months window. Also battery is different than north America version, so do the range.

We're at same boat. Only difference is I ordered one month late but now have same EDD. Tesla doesn't want produce high demand 5 seat + black interior to avoid loosing higher profit on other non essential add-on. Too many people bite the bait to save waiting time make this strategy works better
