Koni - Special Active (Red - Formerly FSD) and Sports (Yellow) - Coming Soon for Model 3 and Y

Yesterday I was driving with a friend and he commented that the chassis with Active specials is more pleasent and not as harsh. Well. But no matter what, these are not comfort shocks, but maybe shocks which the Y should have come initially from a factory. Original MYLR23 from Berlin chassis with...

Koni - Special Active (Red - Formerly FSD) and Sports (Yellow) - Coming Soon for Model 3 and Y

On broken roads or potholes, I don’t see any difference or lets say that I really want to see a change to better but.. I`m not sure about it. These have slightly stiffer rebound setting so after a speed bump, the rear bounces less which is good.

Koni - Special Active (Red - Formerly FSD) and Sports (Yellow) - Coming Soon for Model 3 and Y

Now all the shocks have been changed… and I would say that these are good replacement shocks in case of a stock shock failure, but for improvement of comfort not so much. Ride is so close to the stock ones. In higher speeds like in motorway, these feel little bit softer. Sorry to say, but...

Koni - Special Active (Red - Formerly FSD) and Sports (Yellow) - Coming Soon for Model 3 and Y

Well, after a short test drive, I can say that the rear shocks (Koni Special Active's) have more fast rebound compared to "comfort" stock shocks. They will not bounce like the stock ones on MYLR23. Otherwise they seem to be quite similar. But maybe they will soften up with more use. I was...

Tesla Y Clunk Noise over the bumps | 2023 RWD

Of course if you know what to do :) Dismount the calibers and check if brake pad clips are ok and tighten if needed.

Tesla Y Clunk Noise over the bumps | 2023 RWD

Hard to diagnose fron the video, but one possible cause could be loose brake pads which could rattle in caliber on bumbs. Try braking softly when going over the bumbs if it helps.

Wind noise and nonadjustable front door hinge

Thank you Georgesb2 for your advices. I thought that the culprip for the wind noise is the inner rubber seal of "the window triangle", but it wasn't the case. After unsuccesfull tries I tried to press inwards this rubber seal when the windows was open and it did help! It leaks again, because...

Concern: customer states: there is a booming sound when driving in the car like being inside a subwoofer. Correction: Install Wedge Dampers (X2) and...

Wind noise and nonadjustable front door hinge

Hello, there is a wind noise coming from the driver's side front door. I've narrowed the culprit down to the weatherstrip on the part where the mirror is attached. If I tape this seam on the outside, the sound disappears. I looked from service.tesla.com how to adjust the door inwards so the...

    Buffeting/Booming issue survey

I complained this matter to a technician and of course at first he said that this is the first he's hearing about booming. I asked some further questions what could help and he did remember that Y's build in China had extra side supports for rear hatch but nowadays no more, because extra support...
