UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

I had three test drives. The skittishness of the suspension is what did it for me. I was determined to buy a Tesla and just dismissed the rough ride on test. When I got the car I put it on chill mode and drove within the speed limit but the ride was sickness inducing whatever I did. My wife...

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

The longed for Tesla has gone back to them after three days. The constant edginess of the ride gave me a headache and nausea. I could not quite believe it at first as I never get carsick as a passenger yet alone driver and so on the day after delivery my wife and I drove to the coast. Sadly I...

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

Speaking to a Tesla source confirmed that the pricing of used cars is a combination of weighted variables assigned to the car, year, miles etc plus data from the second hand car market which is ingested by a computer which then spits out the individual pricing.

The car arrived in good shape. It had been valeted. No dents etc. The new bumper, previous bodywork accident, was aligned. All in all a good experience but all’s well that ends well.

For the doubters. I have just received this. I have a good feeling about the cars condition when it arrives.

That’s only three weeks or so. If you like the car and value the benefits of buying from Tesla then think again before you enter the world of the second hand car dealers. As an aside whilst writing this response I have just had a text from my van driver saying I can track his progress to my...

Email from Tesla. Delivery on the 23rd at 7AM with this caveat “*Date and time are indicative. Tesla is not liable for any costs related to rescheduled appointments.” They like to keep us guessing.

You can cancel (distance selling), or check out their contact which makes “time of the essence” for them but not for you meaning; they can delay but not you.

Another home delivery. I am getting that without any vouchers but to be frank I have only waited a paltry four weeks. The acid test will be next Tuesday 23rd May. Will a flat bed transporter turn up outside my house or will I be doomed to the curse of the pushback?

I was not looking forward to the Corby trip. I had decided on the train to Stevenage and then a taxi to Corby. You never know, you may get the same phone call. I have just received a confirmation text for the Leeds delivery. Who knows, the car may now arrive in a pristine condition.

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

I was phoned yesterday by Tesla asking me when I would like my used vehicle. I settled for the 23rd May which was the earliest date they could deliver it. Yes. They are delivering the car to my home address in Leeds rather than Corby. Why a home delivery? Like so much of Teslas arcane procedures...

UK: buying from Tesla used inventory.

I too have ordered a used Tesla; 2020 M3 26,000 miles for £26,490. I ordered on the 18th April and have watched similar cars rise in price on the website. As I found out, the personnel at Tesla have little or no sway over delivery times. It’s all process driven as is the pricing. I have joined...
