    Looks like I can’t have the PG&E plan E1, that’s a problem

A good chuck of that depends on the position of the sun as well as the position of solar panels (in addition to weather in general). It's possible that it's still light outside, but the sun is fairly low and perhaps the solar panels aren't really pointing in a direction where that low sun is, so...

Discussion: Powerwall 3 [Speculation / Discussion etc]

Sounds like you are getting solar and it is charging the battery, while also powering the house as needed. The rate of charging would certainly be affected by how much solar is being generated, and in a case of having 10 panels (as you mentioned) and factoring in weather, positioning of the sun...

Discussion: Powerwall 3 [Speculation / Discussion etc]

How much solar was generated during the day?

Powerwall 3 LED on Tesla logo on front of power wall?

It sounds like that sort of information might be (or might be better asked) in the Powerwall 3 discussion thread at Discussion: Powerwall 3 [Speculation / Discussion etc] It might be good to follow up on that in the existing thread about it at Powerwall panic button, what if it gets pushed?

New to this, Tesla energy app a little confusing, need help on MY HOME screen.

Some connectivity oddities happen like that every once in a while. Sometimes there's an actual outage (on Tesla's side) that might be involved and might be there for some time, but that's typically fairly rare.

New to this, Tesla energy app a little confusing, need help on MY HOME screen.

That's basically one of the main uses of a battery, and assuming your battery has a charge that is above the backup reserve percentage the system will typically use the battery for as long as it can. It can help setting your operational mode in the app to time-based control (TBC) and selecting...

2 days ago had solar panels and Powerwall 3 installed and I thought it would provide solar right away

Perhaps something in the manual might be of some help: Tesla Powerwall 3 Owner's Manual

Tesla App Utility plan configuration: Multiple Peaks, Buy/Sell Behavior, etc

This is rather odd. What's the point of Tesla including various providers and plans and rates as options in their app if they (at last sometimes) won't update the numbers to reflect reality.

Time Base Control not a good recommendation?

Did you select the appropriate utility rate plan in the app settings? TBC definitely works even if buy and sell prices are the same, so even though setting the right pricing and perhaps adjusting for minimum charges that might be in play is best, it should still work.

Powerwall Widget Now Available for iOS

Hopefully they'll improve the widget in upcoming releases to add some more important details to it, like the battery state and grid state.

Who is Your PW Registered Retailer?

Seems a bit odd that any limits are set at all.

    Planned Power Outages

It can in case of Storm Watch, which seems to be more related to NWS warnings and things of that nature. Electric company shut downs or something else along those lines don't appear to be part of those things that relate to Storm Watch (unless they happen to take place at the same time when NWS...

Surprised not to see a discussion thread about the brand new Energy screens / Charts in Tesla app [7.15.2023]

Looks like timing and pricing information has been added at the bottom of the grid graph screen, but shading or something similar on the graph itself would still be better.

My Solar system 8.4 kW only producing 5.5 kW

Typically the installers would cover explaining details like that, or at least mention that not all panels would be able to produce what they are rated for.

Surprised not to see a discussion thread about the brand new Energy screens / Charts in Tesla app [7.15.2023]

Between the graph y-axis adjustments and net usage being back, it sounds like they just need to bring back the peak/off-peak shading.

Surprised not to see a discussion thread about the brand new Energy screens / Charts in Tesla app [7.15.2023]

Good to see that the information is back. Probably could be presented somewhat better, but at least it's there again. Also interesting that no app update was needed to get a change like that.

Surprised not to see a discussion thread about the brand new Energy screens / Charts in Tesla app [7.15.2023]

It's certainly things like that which should get addressed (and hopefully sooner than later).

Please excuse my absolute PG&E first True-Up bill cluelessness (First True up b/w detail bill)

Appreciate the additional details and clarifications as it makes more of it at least somewhat more understandable. I received a similar PG&E true-up bill (or I guess statement) with a smaller cummulitative energy credits amount and a somewhat higher cummulitative NBC amount, but wasn't quite...

Please excuse my absolute PG&E first True-Up bill cluelessness (First True up b/w detail bill)

The stickied explanation thread is nice, but the bill there is somewhat different it would seem. The PG&E True-Up bill in this thread doesn't really seem to mention actual charges that are due or what would be paid out or anything like that. It seems to basically have a running total of things...
