From the description on the Tessories site, they say all 4 hubcaps are the same. This is making me lean towards Aliexpress for this purchase - they seem to have left and right hubcaps. I’m still on the fence about ordering hubcaps though as I haven’t had any curb rash yet :)

Did your guy put the tint meter on after the tinting and show you the 35% and 20%? My guy did and I ended up a bit under at 32.7%. He reckons it should be ok as he says there is a margin of error.

It’s actually not a Mohs scale they use but a graphite pencil scale which is why the hard ceramic coatings top out at 9H. 10H and above aren’t actually on that scale. So the scratch test is testing a sample with a graphite pencil trying to scratch it rather than comparing the product to diamond...

So I got the car back after getting the Graphene coating and tinting done. Ended up getting up sold into getting a few bits of PPF done too in high impact zones. Am pretty happy with the results so far. Time will tell on the Graphene coating but the polishing of the vehicle with coating on top...

Just got the car back. It’s reading at 32.7% so I’m guessing the windows weren’t at 70%. Hopefully that’s close enough to pass a check at I’ve heard there is a 5% tolerance. If anyone can confirm the this it would be much appreciated.

Ok I got convinced that 55% tint was going to look too light especially next to the rear privacy glass. Ended up with 35% (actually 38%) which puts me at 26.6%. Now I’m in defect territory. But at least it’ll look matching 😁

Mine’s getting tinted today. I wanna stay legal. Noticed the VLT on the front doors already looks about 70%. Looks like I can’t use 35% VLT tint or I’ll be too far under legal limits. Will speak to Detail Lab to see what % tint to put on it to stay legal.

How bad is the damaged paint? Is it so bad that a paint correction done during ceramic coating can’t fix? I’m finally picking my car up tomorrow and then sending it for a Graphene coating and tinting of the front two windows the following day.

Was quite surprised by CBA and Tesla’s payment efficiency. Transferred the money via BSB/ACN at about 5am yesterday. Tesla acknowledged they received it that afternoon. I did ring up to advise Tesla I transferred and they asked me to email the receipt. So all good for the pickup tomorrow.

Do you know the VLT of your light tint? Assuming it’s 70% VLT (most common light tints are around this) and your windscreen transmits naturally at 70%, you would now be at 49% which would be noticeable. Therefore I’m assuming it would be higher (which we don’t seem to have much of in Australia).

Only gave me 1 day. Then had to wait another 19 days. Got compensated like everyone else though this time. Lucky.

I couldn’t find any tinting shops in the Eastern suburbs using Xpel tint. Closest was Detail Lab in Roseville. Paying $350 for the two front windows tinted in Prime XR Plus. Tint Haus wanted to charge $495 for the same.

I’m still waiting (19th scheduled) and my car was a passenger on the infamous Grand Eagle.
