Question: How to report cameras to Tesla navigation's new speed camera detection feature?

Same in UK, no red light cameras or many fixed cameras on highways for that matter, certainly can't rely on it.

    [UK specific] Software Update 2023.26

Agreed, push notification of sentry alerts is obvious, very strange. On the seemingly lack of sentry events, just tested mine by enabling sentry, disabling bluetooth and walking up to the car. It did trigger sentry so it is working, maybe it’s less sensitive or something.

    [UK specific] Software Update 2023.26

I have noticed this, I use the same car park several times a week and coming back to the car always had at least 1 sentry event, even when if it was just a person walking quite closely past the front of the car. Just got back in the car and there’s a car parked close that wasn’t there when I...

Not seen a change like that since 26.9

    [UK specific] Software Update 2023.26

Yes, motorways/dual carriageways. Like I said, my previous car was pretty good at adjusting its speed up or down automatically. Got used to it but no big deal to touch the speed limit on the screen or dab the stalk.

Yes, it is an arse, especially on anything but smooth roads!

    [UK specific] Software Update 2023.26

Yes, I have selected "Speed Limit" but I believe that may be what it engages at rather than what it keeps to ? However, I see I missed a few posts on the previous page about this, seems there are some dependencies on how it will behave.

    [UK specific] Software Update 2023.26

Re: the discussion about AP and speed limits. Has Tesla ever said why AP doesn't automatically adjust speed when it sees changing speed signs or at least provide an option to have it behave that way? Coming from a car that did do that, I thought my Tesla was broken when it carried on sailing...

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

Yea, sentry mode is the workaround that Tesla service suggested to keep the car awake and therefore reachable, of course it uses battery to do that, buts a decent workaround. I believe your schedules will work as they are held withi the car so no remote waking and connection etc needed. My...

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

This is the issue that some people were having a few weeks ago. Once the car sleeps, for the app to wake it (if it’s out of Bluetooth range), your app connects to Tesla, this initiates a wake SMS to be sent to the car via LTE. Once awake it will connect to LTE or wifi if it is there and the app...

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

Unless you’re connected via Bluetooth that seems like a different problem to the one where the app, via tesla’s servers/the network, is not waking the car to connect otherwise you wouldn’t be able open the trunk etc. I would imagine you’ve done the soft reboot and logout/login from the app and...

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

I’d say Issue has been fixed, Tesla app was waking It yesterday afternoon and had a successful intelligent octopus charge overnight. Others who had this issue report the same.

    Car won’t wake

Hopefully it’s not messing with us @Arran Sheppard 😆 If it carries on I’ll set up an Intelligent Octopus charge tonight to test it being woken in the early hours. It was that failing last week that first raised a red flag.

    Car won’t wake

Just checed and seeing the same behaviour. I don’t have something like chargeHQ to check its state before I open the app, but I have looked at DHCP connections and disconnections on my router and it does look like opening the app is triggering connection now.

Ah, I did think that would be the case @RajG. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

Yes and no. I suspect they have been doing something this afternoon from their side that is waking it in that I noticed from the DHCP requests log on my router that it has been connected a few times this afternoon and when Ive coincidetally tried to connect it has been awake due to what they're...

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

Tesla service have told me this is being caused by a "known software characteristic" that is under investigation by the engineering team and it will be resolved by a software update. No timeline on that and they suggest using sentry mode to mitigate for times when the car needs to be online. The...

    Car won’t wake

Tesla have told me “the wake SMS signal was not being delivered to the vehicle” and they are escalating to engineering. Can’t be exact to make a certain correlation, but this issue and the 2023.20.9 update were both around a week ago.

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

Tesla Service got me to get the car online via wifi at home earlier this morning as they couldn't connect remotely to gather initial data. They've just confirmed that wake SMS signal are not being sent to the car, so they've escalated a diagnosis session with engineering and will be back in...

    Car won’t wake

It’s definitely not being slow, it simply not being woken by the tesla/network side after a request from either the app or octopus. Something in the chain isn’t working right, be it tesla server side, the O2 network or the car’s MCU. Tesla service are looking into it and have pulled some data...

    Car won’t wake

I’m hoping it is an app update type issue as that would be simplest, although first time I was aware there was a problem was when intelligent octopus couldn’t wake the car to charge it, which I wouldn’t have thought was app related. That said I’ve force closed, deleted it and reinstalled...

    Car won’t wake

Has your car been ok since @melduk? Did you ever find out what the issue was? Reason for asking is I have exact same issue as you were having. I’m using sentry mode on at home when wanting intelligent octopus to charge it, but other than that when the car sleeps app won’t wake it over...

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

Thanks, yes I’m aware of that as the phone key connects via Bluetooth when it’s within range of the car and those actions will wake the car. Also if you keep sentry mode on it will keep the car awake (which is what I do so that intelligent octopus can charge the car overnight), but of course...

I’m experiencing this in the UK, same car, software version and app version. I posted about it on this existing thread in UK forum today

Can’t connect to car via App - anyone else?

There are multiple threads on this subject, so re-igniting this one rather than start a new one as its the most recent and its in the UK where I am. The app (iPhone) has not been able to connect to the car (unless it is still awake after parking or sentry mode is on) since around last Wednesday...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Factory reset did the trick, now showing the “degraded“ message also with “calibration in progress” popping up, but the squiggl lines and beeping are there, not used to factory resets changing anything for the better 😆. It did a minor update to 2023.12.9 first, but that wasn’t what fixed the...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Thanks for the replies, I’ll try the factory reset (and cancel the service call I’ve initiated if it works). I see both sides of the argument in that why fix something that works on one hand, but why compromise and keep something that isn’t part of a longer term development strategy on the...

[uk] UltraSonic Sensors removal/TV replacement performance

Interesting thread! Picked new MY LR up yesterday from the delightful Brent Cross collection centre. Cameras calibrated after 20 miles or so, autopilot options all on, upgrade to 2023.12.5 happened as soon as I got home, but there is absolutely no sign of park assist, no squigly orange and red...
