USA MY RWD has soft limited LR battery!

We’re due to take delivery of a now “old” MY RWD for a 2 year lease. The delivery date was pushed out to next week. Will Tesla swap it out for this newer RWD variant? The VIN has NOT been assigned yet. If not, can we charge to 95% daily without having issues with the lease terms? I’m assuming...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Maybe this was discussed before, but can anyone explain why I still have FSD 11 on 2024.3.6? No option either for a free trial.

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Does anyone know if FSD 12 is used in highway driving? There were people questioning that based on the wording in the leaked release notes last month.

When will there be a 48v Model Y?

Now that the Cybertruck is shipping I’m curious when the 48v low voltage system will be incorporated into the Model Y. Are we talking months (Juniper?) or years?

Unable to connect for last 2 hours [posted 05.17.2023]

OP, did you get this working? I also can’t connect to my car via the app and Teslafi isn’t getting data.

    Acceptable Imbalance for cells

Late to the thread, but does the BMS do any “extra” cell balancing when charging to 100%? I have a 2023 Model 3 LR and have never charged to 100% (yet).

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

At risk of sounding like I’m defending Tesla, George Hotz *did* say recently in an interview that Tesla FSD will always be a few years ahead of the OpenPilot team because Tesla has better access to compute and “they’re not doing anything wrong.” Take that with a grain of salt.

What Percent is Your Tesla Charged to While at Home?

70% based on the feedback from Dr. Dahn in this video.

What battery cells are in the 2023 M3 LR?

For what it’s worth, the Tesla API says my 2023 Model 3 LR is coded “MT328”, which according to this website is using “LG Chem M50 79kWh battery with 2170 NMC cells, coded 5L”. Tesla Model 3 Ultimate Buyers Guide

What battery cells are in the 2023 M3 LR?

Hi everyone - is the consensus that 2023 US-built Model 3 LR use LG 2170 cells? I’m assuming those are NCA cells?

State of FSD Beta request for HW3

I’m not sure I understand your question. I have a 2023 Model 3 with HW3 and was able to subscribe to FSD Beta.

    Enhanced Autopilot

This is conjecture of course, but I can envision a day where the old EAP code base is replaced by a highway-restricted FSD. So why couldn’t it be Level 3 if that version is certified for it?

    Enhanced Autopilot Refund

I’m holding out for an (unannounced) intermediate package that has navigate on autopilot and auto lane change built on the FSD code base, but without the other stuff. That day may never come but $6000 is just too pricey, especially for features that are disabled and may Never Actually Work as...

    Smart Summon

Small claims court appears to be your best course of action. How to sue Tesla over historical claims EDIT: the risk you’re taking could be getting banned from buying EAP ever again; it‘s possible it actually is good at some point (but don’t hold your breath).

FSD robotaxi use for shopping and parked

I’m currently subscribing to FSDb 11.3.6 and I’m on 2023.26.1. US.

    Autonomous Car Progress

I can foresee a time when the HW3/4 system changes the Level (1-3) dynamically based on the detected driving conditions and capabilities of the software, with the Level being displayed prominently on the display at any given time. e.g. Level 3 in optimal conditions (highway on a bright sunny...

    Autonomous Car Progress

I’m in the middle of renting FSD Beta 11.3.6 for a month, and yes of course it’s “useful”. But even if version 12 is as mind blowing as Elon says it is there’s just no way it’s worth $15k for the average driver who otherwise doesn’t have a driving disability. The economics just don’t make sense.

    Autonomous Car Progress

That's what I was worried about. I bought this car because I actually like driving...sometimes fast. But a L2 autopilot capability that can switch lanes on long road trips is definitely something I'd consider assuming it doesn't break the bank. It sounds like EAP is that product. Maybe I'll wait...

    Autonomous Car Progress

New Model 3 owner here and this is where I'm stuck. Elon continues to say $15k FSD is a bargain in context to the robotaxi business case, but I never see myself ever doing that. Especially considering my car has HW3 and probably will never get there. For me to get L2 door to door means what...

FSD Transfer - NO - but Tesla says it's really OK

I’m curious how many people will buy a (cheap?) used Tesla only to flip the FSD over to a new car in Q3 and resell the old again. I guess it depends on the terms of this new one-time policy.

FSD Transfer - NO - but Tesla says it's really OK

We’ll know more once this hits the website, but I got the impression this is a one time thing available only in Q3. Elon said pretty much said as such.

    Supercharger - Laurinburg, NC

My mother's family grew up in Wagram and I travel there from time to time - good to know this will be right around the corner.
