Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

Funny how you measure to the tenth and hundredths of a second yet don’t hesitate to add 200lbs of weight to the MSP. It’s one of the lightest EVs in its class at 4800lbs. Don’t fat shame our MSP. lol Carry on

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

I'm waiting for a call from the Tesla Service Center tech why they're insisting the pads and rotors have to be burnished to explain why someone put 20 miles on my ride. SMFH. Gracias.

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

qq - when replacing the track pack calipers, just the calipers and reusing the existing pads and rotors, is there any reason to burnish the brakes yet again?

Is the Model S worth it over the Highland M3?

Anything but the very latest Model S fails the look back test for me in the current Tesla lineup. Thus, this new 3 or X or Y or Cybertruck will never have my name on the title. Proportions are all wrong to visually delight.

Knee pain after coming from Toyota Land Cruiser

I actually pommel horse it getting into my ‘23 so my seat bolster zero wear forever. My left hand on sill to lift my arse up and over rarely touching any fake leather. Zero wear in any of my vehicles. my LC on 37s, obviously different technique. I’m water tank verified 6% body fat and have...

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

I’d rock the Taycan turbo gt over the sapphire no doubt on just looks and brand alone. it's the best looking EV sedan on the market now: 1) tgt; 2) Audi rs e-tron refresh; 3) MSP. Love the competition! I wonder how lucid got it done sans carbon sleeves and what the actual top speed is on the...

RPM Tesla Updated Carbon Fiber Spoiler

Has anyone installed their Jupiter spoiler on a Plaid with pics? I'd like a bit more of an aggressive look to the rear. I will be having it professionally installed at my trusted body shop so not interested in adhesion, but more so on quality long term (fading, fitment, etc).

How I doubled my tire life

8K miles on my '23 Plaid with OEM PS4S running -1.1 rear camber via N2itive forged arms... negligible wear even on the very innermost tread. I hope to get 20-25K miles out of the rears. Pretty amazing what basic vehicle alignment knowledge gets you in return. Shock of the century.

    That sucks
  17. bkcyk

    2023 Model S is a disappointment.

I default to low and manually raise to high via long press which works brainlessly great for me. I have very little tire wear on my OEM PS4S because I had it professionally aligned to ~1.1 rear camber via N2itive arms on low. I'm hoping to get 20-25K miles out of my rear tires currently at 7K.

Good Riddance: The '22 Tesla Model S Plaid Saga Comes to an End

Should I upgrade to Plaid or keep my 2014 P85D w MCU2 and Ludicrous upgrade

The only concern I had buying my first Tesla/EV was inherting another person's problem so I bought a new MSP and there's $10K more money in my pocket to do the same thing all over again today. I also only decided to pull the trigger when I learned about these 3 things: 1) Tesla widened the...

Should I upgrade to Plaid or keep my 2014 P85D w MCU2 and Ludicrous upgrade

Same. Respect to the Model S OGs, but I recently drove my cousin's enthusiast owned, 1 owner, always garaged, 30K mile 2015. It looked & felt like an absolute shtbox relic compared to my 2023. Bicycle tires. Narrow hips. Early 2000s rear LED lights off the Toys R Us shelf. And I haven't...

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

I never claimed to have any empirical evidence yet you bring in your stick game from your keyboard pounding pulpit with ego pics of your rubber collection as if it’s PS4S gospel. Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

You can pound on your keyboard and stick poke at your rubber collection all day, but without actual objective data to stake claim that the t2s are no different performing tires than non t2s is Ms Cleo inane. Car forum engineer flex. 🤣 But hey maybe he is a Michelin tire tester. 🤷🏻
  27. bkcyk

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

Chill Ms Cleo chill. Any garage monkey can deduce that there’s much more to assessing tire construction and perf characteristics than a poke test. My personal ps4s obs only. Maybe it’s the weight. Maybe it’s different compounds used. The T2s are a wonderful, stickier street tire compared to...

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

Do a scientific materials analysis and a carcass breakdown to imbue us with your tire expertise. In my nonscientifc experience having run ps4s exclusively on a number of sporting vehicles, the t2s kick up the most rocks no question. Tire science is black magic.

Model S Plaid Track Package Waiting Room

My bad. Forgot you got tp wheels too. I’m guessing it may have to do with the tp wheels likely sitting a little more flush than the arachnids which have pretty conservative offsets. Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

I'd rather live with the parking lot speed creaks and clicks than be anywhere near the remote vicinity of a TSC. Some of y'all love having random techs touch your ride like it's going out of fashion. Even when I went in to get my Track Pack brakes installed, a quick walk around revealed some...

2023 Plaid - Wheel and Tire questions

My opinion is anything narrower than the 295 ps4s look like bike tires on a car the size of the current model s esp when seen from behind on the freeway. 🤢 look at how horrible the pre 21s look. Model S Plaid Track Package Zero G wheels Tire Size options

Tire diameter has nothing to do with it as they're largely the same between the OEM 19s and 21s from factory. The TP brakes require their 20" Track Pack wheels or the 21" Arachnids to clear. Brake calipers are m m massive. The rears may be the biggest calipers I've ever seen.

EV or ice or hybrid, the Sapphire is one of the best driving cars in the world today per respected auto enthusiasts/journos like Jason Camissa. That’s insane high praise whether you’re BMW M or a young company like Lucid living a murky, existential reality. I have zero delusions that the...
