New "Universal Wall Connector" doesn't charge the Rivian.

As discussed earlier in the thread, there can be various reasons for this, such as 3rd party adapters that "trick" the TUWC into thinking it's plugged into a Tesla. Or, the Tesla adapter could have some special setup that makes it behave differently for whatever reason. It's all just...

New "Universal Wall Connector" doesn't charge the Rivian.

Chargeback through your card issuer for a defective product and refusal of refund. Send the issuer documentation of your comms with Tesla and let them fight it. If Tesla needs a stick to get their act together, then that's what they need.

Non-Tesla BEV - What charger should I get to automatically stop charging during an outage?

Sage advice, which I do intend to follow, to be clear :)

Non-Tesla BEV - What charger should I get to automatically stop charging during an outage?

That's a fair suggestion, though the Tesla chargers have the added benefit of being able to intelligently "share" an overall charging limit (e.g. 100A service to garage would mean I can't setup 48A on 2 chargers due to 20% safety margin, unless I get the Tesla ones and configure a max shared of...

Non-Tesla BEV - What charger should I get to automatically stop charging during an outage?

I have a detached garage, so expense would definitely be a real concern, and part of the reason I have the whole house on battery backup is to offer protection from fluctuations in power (the Fiat I bought, for example, has a small chance of dying if the power goes out while it's charging)...

Non-Tesla BEV - What charger should I get to automatically stop charging during an outage?

Hi all, I'm sure I'm not the first person to run into this, but I'm struggling to find resources online. I just purchased a 2014 Fiat 500e which is as "dumb" as an EV comes; there's no connectivity anymore (yay 2G shutdown!), no scheduling on the car side, and no way to tell it to stop when a...

Tesla app graphs wrong - Which CT is misplaced?

Update: I did not end up removing my panel cover. I pestered my installer as well as Tesla. After a couple of weeks of radio silence from Tesla, it looks like my solar production numbers were silently doubled 2 days ago. Everything is finally adding up sensibly! Thanks so much for the help!! :)

Tesla app graphs wrong - Which CT is misplaced?

Indeed, it does look like the home consumption is negative... it would appear that the reported solar output is entirely going to charging the batteries with excess hitting the grid, and that's leading to the home using negative energy. An excellent diagnosis! I'll be checking out the panel...

Tesla app graphs wrong - Which CT is misplaced?

Some details for context: I have a non-Tesla solar setup. Panels (I think REC..?) with IQ7+ micros and I think it's 8kW total (small house, not a ton of roof) in panels. 2 Powerwalls installed for whole-home backup using Tesla Gateway 2, I believe. One factor I did not mention is there's also...

Tesla app graphs wrong - Which CT is misplaced?

Let me illustrate my point with some images. These are from back in late May but behavior has been the same since system install in Spring 2022. Interestingly, the grid import/export numbers do roughly match the utility's reporting, and the solar production graph seems to accurately reflect...
