Hi all, My inner (RH) tail light only works when reversing. Anyone had any success repairing these? Are they easy enough to replace? Had a look on eBay and Murphy’s law can only find LH inner tail lights! Model X 2017

I’d literally just sprayed when I took that photo so it looks pretty runny.

Just want to thank everyone who helped with this. I was persistent and greased everything up noted in this thread. Upper and lower arms (and boot injected) and after a few miles of driving the quacking has gone away! sc wanted to charge me $2000. I injected around 5/6ml into each boot.

Because I can’t find the lower ball joint boot?

Did you inject into the lower ball joint? If so did you have to take the wheel off?

Latch covers on falcon doors were just replaced by the SC. Now passenger side falcon door says obstacle. SC saying latch will have nothing to do with that am I have to open a new ticket and they will give me a quote. Was not doing this before.

Also is there a lower rubber boot that I can inject into

I’ve lubricated the upper and injected into the rubber feet but can someone point me to the lower arm? Sorry if this is a stupid question but sc said the issue is with the lower control arms?

Ok and this will resolve lower arm issues?

sc claiming it’s lower control arm? Is there anywhere to lubricate around that area?

Hi yes I seen that and I’ve read the whole thread, but this particular post fix is related to the upper isn’t it? I was quoted for a lower arm . . The creaking does sound exactly the same however.

Can you point me to the 5 min fix pls? Tesla are saying it’s the front lower arm that is the issue? Will the 5 min fix resolve this ya think?

So strange one here. I requested a price here in canada for the mcu2 upgrade (mx 2017). I was quoted $3015 + tax. I assumed that was with FM radio but the SC said there’s no option to have it without and that it’s a default upgrade? Seems strange

Is this the fix where you lube the rubber boot/foot up?

I just don’t know what to do!!! Think I’ll leave it with the semi squeak for now then revisit when I can afford it

This is crazy!

So I took it in to SC, I did lube the foots up and it did actually help quite a lot. Was shocked to get this quote though! They said the lower arms are worn and may fall off. Seems excessive, no? The creaking was definitely improved once I greaced the rubber feet up above the tire.

How do I find that out? Not had a recall for this issue it just started happening a week ago

Going today to see if I can get this fixed for $90. Any tips?

Yeh that’s what I was thinking. But does anyone know if there’s a housing that fits the bottom tray under the screen?

Have a 2017 model x (MCU1) so car play isn’t an option. I wanted to utilize the tray below the screen for maybe another external screen (there’s 10inch car play screens available) just wondering if anyone had attempted this?

Was wondering if anyone’s utilized the single din at the bottom of the model x 2017 screen for a car play display or stereo?

I was wanting to put in a car play screen below the screen on my model x 2017. Anyone know of any custom din to house something like that?
