Stressful is an understatement! 🤯
So like easy entry I had to figure it out myself with trial and error.
I hate the belt because it can damage the rims. I’ve only ever found one brushless car wash that actually cleans the car and it’s 1.5hrs away. All the rest leave the sides dirty.
So for...
Tin snips are needed for the dust shield removal.
Allen head socket for the new bolts to the aluminum adapter.
Unless on lift, 1/2” torque wrench is way to big. There is still a finger depth clearance with 19” rims.
Ok, after even more searching I found …
MPP’s BBK install page
Tesla Mark install But until I saw this one I’ve never heard of E-torx (E-18) and don’t have them. T-30 for the dust shield removal.
ZevCentric’s MPP BBK install which covers more torque specs
I found the install video …
Pagemill 365mm BBK install
I can’t understand all the torx sizes, which I need to know beforehand. It also does not mention any torque specs. I’ve done this myself on all my cars and even though I’m a bit older I don’t want to pay a shop to do it.
I thought this had to have been before. Might as well go 2 price light weight rotors. From what I understand the calipers are only larger for the larger rotors. Both are Brembo and unless it’s not listed both have the same pistons?
Can you explain the plug you mentioned? …any pictures of it...
Had mine installed today with Michelin’s and it feels like an Audi now …thank you! It might be in my head but it feels like better acceleration as well.
If anyone replaced the lug nuts with black ones did you go longer (as I believe they are a thicker diameter and not sure it leaves clearance...
I just purchased also. It’s a pair in one box and most store sell them separately. Best way is Oder online with the auto parts store you prefer and it will direct you to the store that has in in stock. If not, it may be another day to get from their warehouse.
It was like $25. Has a tiny gold...
This was the only good thing the mini display did. I probably should have kept for the front camera. Anyway it did an excellent job of showing regenerative braking. I would never have known the brake light turned on when letting go of the electric pedal.
Can the stock lug-nuts can be reused?
Do I have to order Model S center caps even though it’s for a model 3?
Do you have blue logo or no logo center billet caps?
Are aftermarket TPS ok or stick with OEM?
Cleaning care suggestions ?
I like the easy adjustment at the charge station. I would adjust my Z for city (S) , long highway (M) and canyon (F).
Except for the alleged spirited tap on the pedal to pass an annoying kid revving engine I cruise since it’s an auto and usually chill mode.
Maybe I should have bought the...
Oh I’m also looking at Silvers which I don’t believe anyone on here is using.
Also, Swift makes lowering spring but for RWD only and the rates are like 4/F & 7/R.
Thanks TimTam
With top hats they are fully assembled. Yes you can add hours with a spring compressor but I’ve had them slip and would rather have them complete. Yes, I can take them to a local shop for assembly. My HKS and Buddy Clubs were never noisy but twin tunes are and I will never buy them...
You can also get Swift springs which states the rates are made to match the limits of the OEM dampers. They do not have separate part numbers and it’s a perfect street able 1” drop.
If your car has 60k+ miles you may consider Koni hellos and pre-adjust to the settings posted in another thread...

I can’t find any reviews on the RMS FPX Clouds. Maybe too new?
Hijacking this thread since no replies in mine. …
MPP spring compresses when lowering.
Tein comes with top hat, which means you never mess with spring compressor but low end.
After hours of reading and videos, I’m leaning towards Redwood over UP.

I didn’t see this one and started a similar thread. Most guys use and review the sport versions.
Important factors are spring rate, single over dual piston, dual adjustable over single, aluminum over steel, warranty and support / serviceability .
Plain steel, Stainless steel or aluminum bodies?
Use OEM rear spring perch?
Come with ride hight wrenches?
Both compression and rebound adjustment?
Easy to adjust? Top adjuster, bottom or both?
Single or dual piston?
Road noise (I haye dual piston oil squish noise)?
Upper hat noise? I prefer to pay extra to have them either fully assembled or not having to take apart the old set, then I can just swap them. Otherwise I would gladly pay a shop to assemble and save $800 on a full...
I doubt anyone’s tried multiple sets and I’m actually looking at the GT luxury versions . All three are approximately $2600.
I also have the LR and most going will have the performance and choose the sport or race versions. So I was hoping to get feedback from anyone with the softer luxury...
I was searching for similar (Eibach vs UP mild). I did figure I’d have to also use Koni Yellow but pulling them out several times to adjust is not for me.
I’ve used HKS on my 350Z and Ohlins on my bikes. Love them!
I’ve also used H&R with Tokico on Altima and it sucked the walrus.
mine is long range but at 100% charge my estimated mileage is 313 (off by -20).
I do have sport mode which Inwas told only performance has but I have not purchased the $2k boost.
Milage while driving is an estimate. I’ve lost 9 miles going 1. Heater or a/c and happy foot pedal reduces milage...
I just ran in to that. Not in CA to drive to unplugged. I’ve done many in the past but don’t really want to do it anymore. Video shows either thin wall or shaved socket.
The crazy one is the DOT brake lines. Same deal and would need a vacuum one person bleeder.
With my 350Z both in CA and WA...
I’m confused on the set. I looked up M3P and I found 8.5 & 10, the Model S is 9’s & 10’s , so that means this set must be from a MYP and not M3P. I figured the center bore may not be exact but didn’t think the bolt pattern would be off and would have rolled fenders if not a wide body kit.
I...
I don’t have the $2k speed boost, so what I referred to was happy feed passing cars.
I filled my battery a few days ago preparing for a long drive to 100%. 2 month old long range and it showed 310miles and not 333.
It was a touch screen and it did auto pair with the iPhone and it set to CarPlay automatically but
It does not use the car stereo for navigation or phone calls.
Also, yes it’s touch screen but it’s harder to use that the OEM screen as it’s behind the wheel.
Rewording:
Tap and release of brake pedal before dealt belt engagement with active driver memory position.
Tap and release of brake pedal after seat belt is buckled will engage seat memory driving position.
Note:
Depressing and holding the brake pedal while buckling the seat belt will cause...
Easy entry actually has both entry end exit settings. Not just exit like service center said or it would be called easy exit.
After park and seat belt is off, it goes to the exit position. I prefer my seat forward and the wheel all the way up. You can adjust before exiting.
Not upon entry but...
Hmm, mine was different with blue AMD and a separate power plug.
Did you try the left scroll wheel to make changes? I remember the right one moved you to each category .
Found the issue myself;
The brake pedal can “not” be depressed at the same time that you buckle in your seat belt.
So you can
1. depress the brake before the seatbelt and it should restore the seat and wheel from memory.
2. Buckle the seatbelt in then afterwards depress the brake pedal.
If...
So car is 2 months old. I setup my profile and easy entry. I have had issues with the ateering wheel not lowering.
I used the app for software service. I was told it was a hardware issue. They made an appointment for Seattle. Which in turn kept telling me they didn’t understand what I was...
I have 2023 LR but have not upgraded the speed boost software as of yet. OEM 19’s.
Someone on another thread said Sport has wider tires but I don’t remember seeing that in the showroom.
I did two 168mi each way trips today. Most of the way the limit was 70. I partially used FSD and partially...
Sorry, I already returned mine and forgot. I know it took some learning as it would time out and exit.
Long press right to enter the configuration. Then I believe it was right arrow for each sub category but I forgot how to change it. It may have been the left side. I was able to change I’m to...
Fixed the side cameras with another thread. There is like a triangle up/down toggle for them.
I ended up returning the unit. Now I know why they just wrapped the box. Estimate with box was $45 once I placed it in a larger box it cost me $80 for return shipping. Yup, $235-$85 will be my refund...
