Happy to report my week old MXP is still in great condition and I am exceedingly happy with it (including the build quality). First Tesla. First EV. Been purchasing luxury SUVs for 30 years and there is no comparison (BMW connected drive pukes in comparison). Not bad for a coal powered car.

Doors do autopresent with phone key with that setting turned on.

They had mine at a -87K balance which presented some issues at delivery. Not even sure why as the math didn't line up.

Damn I wouldn’t take delivery on a car that a woman already drove.

You can do ACH day of. There was an issue on my account with a negative balance that they corrected but the plaid payment option no longer presented itself. The manager put in what I owed and sent me a text link and I did ACH payment on the spot and drove away.

Decided to go ahead and take delivery of the 2023. At Tesla right now picking it up. Other than a couple of paint chips from transport it looks great! I now hope the 2024 has significant downgrades that coincide with the 2024 VIN and that the cybertruck is so expensive that I’m the only one...

They were all ready to get out of there because of the early weekend. I managed to sign my paperwork around 3PM and loan office was able to get the wire sent over.

So I didn't do anything with my order yet and just got texted to take delivery either Thursday or Friday of this week (no other dates offered). Guessing I can text them now and ask for vacation hold and they will throw my car to the next person in line or put it in inventory?

At least in my market, those have been posted in the available new inventory for a while.

Ordered 9/2 MXP.

I got my VIN at 5PM EST the other day.

At least on the demo unit I drove there are still traditional buttons for drive control. They aren't lit up but they are right under the phone trays and light up when you touch them.

Just got my VIN assigned today for an MXP order from 9/2. Currently says delivery from Nov 14-Nov 21 and that they will reach out when it gets closer to schedule delivery. Let’s just say I wanted a 2024 and don’t care about the tax rebates. At what point do I reach out and do the VIN rejection...

Guess day 60 is the magic number. Just had VIN assigned. PF422 Delivery between Nov 14 - Nov 21.

I also have received the email about the stealth gray change. Very surprised and hopefully pleasantly when I see it in person.

I bought an airplane in 2022 and took accelerated depreciation putting my AGI below the limit. Am I still allowed to buy one of these vehicles?

I'm also MSM and my Sept 3 order which got moved forward then got moved back (currently at Oct 31 to Dec 12) so I'm wondering if it's not color related.

Not sure if my strategy worked or not but my EDD just adjusted today to Oct 31 - Dec 12. Had tightened up to Oct 15-Nov 19th recently. Sept 3rd order.

Personally, since I plan to trade in my MXP when my cybertruck is available (hoping 1 year~) I think the short timeline makes this concern tangible from the resell side. Current model year vs last years model.

So you’d still satisfy all of the prompts in there to make it happy and then change it up as delivery day nears? Is there maybe a strategy in here where I could delay finishing the financing section in an attempt to hold our for a 2024 VIN or are they going to assign either way?

Do you have to do the financing and insurance steps for VIN assignment? Never bought a Tesla before but I was holding off because I didn’t want any potential financing to expire.

Is this true? I could go back as far as 2021 for a 2023 delivery? Anywhere that I can read this.
