    FPL Advertisement about EV charging

I don't think you can do it just with Alexa. I use Home Assistant. It is free software, but it needs to be installed (in my case on Raspberry Pi) and run 24/7. It integrates different smart devices, switches, sensors, etc. Tesla car is one of them.

    FPL Advertisement about EV charging

Thanks for the agreement template. Did you receive/sign your agreement? I haven't received anything. So it looks like they can change the service fee anytime. Termination fees are not specified either. They depend on the "cost to uninstall, remove and redeploy the Equipment". FPL can also...

    FPL Advertisement about EV charging

But I didn't receive any agreement, so it doesn't refer to the rates. Additionally, there is no termination fee (amount) in rates. I only know it from FAQ, but this is not up to date either. PROVISIONS FOR EARLY TERMINATION: Customer has the right to terminate the Agreement for its...

    FPL Advertisement about EV charging

Today I looked at the rates sheet and this is what I found: 1. On-peak price per kWh is different in the rates sheet (23.71 cents) than in their FAQ (22.87 cents). I understand that they changed the price, but the FAQ should be updated too. 2. TERM OF SERVICE (page 30 of Rates) "The term of...

    FPL Advertisement about EV charging

Thanks for this information. I didn't look at their rate sheet. But if we have a contract for 10 years (when I write it, I still think we should have this contract) and I have to pay a penalty fee for the termination, I should know the price. If they change the price, I should be able to...

Quick or easy ways to remove a J1772 connector (with adapter)?

:-) :-) It really does the job. I just checked it out. I didn't know the j1772 had a button. I thought it was just a mechanical lock. But at least I had some 10 minutes of fun (because it took me so long to prepare HA with Pico) to do another automation at home :-)

LFP battery - how often is too often to charge?

I think you pay too much attention to semantics in my posts. English is not my first language, so that may also be a reason. Saying "everyone" was more a figure of speech than thinking about 8 billion people in the world :) Mainly I was thinking about myself - that I'm confused (and reading...

    FPL Advertisement about EV charging

I haven't received my first invoice yet (after installation), but I have a question for the group. Did you receive a contract? I didn't receive anything. I just filled in the survey, after which they scheduled the appointment and installed the charger. But I think all these rules from the FAQ...

    FPL Advertisement about EV charging

I think they use two types of chargers. JuiceBox and Wallbox. Mine is Walbox Pulsar Plus. But I think it doesn't matter. We all have to use the FPL application (FPL Evolution), so the functionality is exactly the same :-)

LFP battery - how often is too often to charge?

I didn't say that "everyone has got it wrong". I said, "everybody is confused". And that is a difference. I think people are confused because Telsa didn't provide clear instructions. There are two good articles I found that I can recommend: ShieldSquare Captcha...

Quick or easy ways to remove a J1772 connector (with adapter)?

I had the same problem with the Wallbox and I didn't like the idea disconnecting the adapter everytime I want to unplug the car. But since I have automated my house with the Home Assistant, I added a Lutron Pico switch that completely solved this problem. I programmed the switch to open and...

unlocking charge port for multiple cars on a wall charger

Did you try to power off the charger? When I charge Tesla via J1772-to-Tesla adapted, the car unlocks the charger (adapter) when I unplug the power (remove the J1772 plug from the adapter).

LFP battery - how often is too often to charge?

I've read several articles about LFP batteries (in different content than Tesla cars), and all of them stand that for any other lithium battery, LFP doesn't like to be charged to 100%. But because of the lower/flat voltage, etc. it doesn't charm them as much as NCA or NCM. And I'm not talking...

    FPL Advertisement about EV charging

My FPL charger was finally installed a week ago. I didn't know if it was possible to keep my current outlet and install a new charger, but I thought it might be a good option. But when I heard that I would have to wait 2-3 months for the full installation, and the charger alone could be...

LFP battery - how often is too often to charge?

I see that everybody is confused about how to change LFP batteries. I use home assistant for my home automation and I created one automation for my M3. Once a week (on Friday) I set the limit to 100%. When I unplug the car and the battery level is > 99%, I switch it back to 85%. With this...

The supercharger overbilled me because it had an incorrect time! Tesla declined my complaint!

You (the group) convinced me to take action, and that's exactly what I did - I did dispute the charge. I don't know if it will make any difference (for Tesla), but I think I needed your support and confirmation that it makes sense to "fight". I'm not talking about the $12, I'm talking about the...

The supercharger overbilled me because it had an incorrect time! Tesla declined my complaint!

Yes, it stands clear that "Charging rate is determined by the plug-in time and does not adjust if pricing changes during the charging session.". But they say "plug-in time" not "plug-in time on the charger". So their explanation that time on the charger can be shifted a few minutes, is incorrect.

The supercharger overbilled me because it had an incorrect time! Tesla declined my complaint!

After creating a dispute the bank is responsible for investigating who is right. They are Tesla and they have an invoice, I'm a car owner and have no hard proof (maybe except my Google Maps history). Guess who is more trustful for the bank. In my opinion, the impact is bigger if more people...

They are not interested in checking it. They can take logs from my car as well.

If they made a mistake in the NTP synchronization (firewall, incorrect IP, etc.) they never get a time update and they are just drifting. Any reboot or NTP synchronization tries on locked ports, all of which can cause a drifting. I saw this multiple times even on Windows servers. But because...

The supercharger overbilled me because it had an incorrect time! Tesla declined my complaint!

You are right - I should. But I don't want to spend any more time on it. So I probably just give up. I sent them all this in the survey after my call to support. But I don't think it makes any difference. I will just avoid their chargers as much as possible. Even if it is the most convenient...

It is not about money (I can pay $10 more for charging). It is about rules.

The supercharger overbilled me because it had an incorrect time! Tesla declined my complaint!

It was in the car and on my phone - both were the same. As I said, the car also shows the price per kWh during charging. And the car was continuously showing $0.15 (not $0.36 as I was charged). So in my opinion, there is no excuse.

Marina del Rey Supercharger Incorrect Billing

I had exactly the same issue today in Florida. And exactly the same experience with the customer service, My post is here: https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/the-supercharger-overbilled-me-because-it-had-an-incorrect-time-tesla-declined-my-complaint.313130/#post-7849555

The supercharger overbilled me because it had an incorrect time! Tesla declined my complaint!

This is how I know that they charged me for a different price than my car was displaying during charging. The invoice says $0.36, the car displayed $0.15. The invoice shows the previous date (before midnight), but I started 3 minutes after midnight. So their system (on some level) had an...

I should be happy they didn't do the same with the price of my car. They could also double it when they sent me the invoice. :) I am curious what else do their computers calculate incorrectly? I hope autopilots don't have the same issue...

I already heard that Tesla's customer service is terrible. Maybe Amazon spoiled me with its customer service, and I need to accept different standards :)

The supercharger overbilled me because it had an incorrect time! Tesla declined my complaint!

Hello, I would like to bring to the public's attention that the Tesla Superchargers are not working correctly! They definitely have a problem with time shifting/drifting and they are overcharging customers for off-peak charging. Today (at night) I arrived at the Supercharger at 12:03 AM when the...
