Why buy a used Tesla vs leasing brand new one?

But Tesla does not allow you to buy the car at the end of the lease. Never heard of such a thing..

Incorrect Information on Order Agreement from a Year Ago

This is good advice. Definitely talk to a CPA or professional tax preparer, they will be able to advise you best. I would not rely on Tesla to fix anything.

Is Stealth Grey a metallic paint?

I don't know. Here's my 23 midnight silver in a garage. I can kinda get behind the "plum" description in certain lighting. Or maybe that's more blue lol

Help me choose: M3P inventory vs. Highland?

M3P and it's not even close IMO. But as already stated, it's a personal choice, and what's important to me in a car, may not be important to you. But no turn signal stalks? Seriously? That's a bad idea Tesla..

Early lease termination payment keeps rising

Absolutely! Doesn't make sense to turn it in early and have to pay almost $9K. Make the remaining payments and get use out of the car then. What year is it and how many miles? Trying to figure out how your $49,000 car is now only worth $21,800?

Is it worth getting an M3P over the LR at basically the same price?

Interesting! My experience in September was what I posted above. Not really sure how it works. I do think it's VIN specific though and how cars are coded when put into "service" as a demo. It could also be state specific as well. Like in CA, where I'm from, DMV may no longer consider a car...

Is it worth getting an M3P over the LR at basically the same price?

The "system" was the sales manager's computer (he showed me the screen). No idea what program they use. I would ask to speak to the sales manager at your local Tesla service center. That person should be much more knowledgeable than the other "idiots" working there. Good luck

Is it worth getting an M3P over the LR at basically the same price?

I think it's because when Tesla designates a car as a demo vehicle, it puts that car into "service", and it's no longer considered "new" at that point. What he showed me in his system was that when we tried to place an order for that demo car, using the vin# for that demo car, it showed it did...

Is it worth getting an M3P over the LR at basically the same price?

I went through this in September, and was emphatically told by the manager at our local Tesla service center, that demo cars DO NOT qualify for the $7,500 tax rebate, regardless of how many miles they have. He even showed me in his system that if we try to put an order in on a demo vehicle, it...

Price on Tesla website vs ordering agreement

Was it an "Inventory" car that you put the down payment on? It sounds like your order agreement may be missing the "price adjustment" that Tesla will sometimes offer on inventory cars. Yes, the white interior and certain colors have an "upcharge". Did you try emailing Tesla and letting them...

Is it worth getting an M3P over the LR at basically the same price?

I went from a 21 G70 Sport Prestige to a 23 M3P. I'd say the ride compliance is similar. My M3P is quiet inside (when I'm not cranking the sound system, which KICKS ASS! (better than the Lexicon in the Genesis) so no issues there). Unless you take a lot of long road trips, I wouldn't really...

Which to buy: New 2023 Model 3 LR or 2022 M3 LR with 18k miles

New for sure! Brand new car and you get the $7,500 tax credit. I wouldn't worry about the difference in range - they're really not real word numbers and you'll end up changing it way before you realize the maximum range anyway. Or do what I did, and spent the extra $4-5K and get the performance...

    Any risks ordering inventory cars?

In my case, I knew I wanted a Model 3 Performance with white interior. So that narrowed the choices down to quite a bit less than that..

    Any risks ordering inventory cars?

Exactly. It's not like Tesla has that many options to choose from anyway - so no real reason to "custom order". It's easy enough to find one in "Inventory" or "in transit" that's the color and specs you want.

    Any risks ordering inventory cars?

I picked up a M3P, with white interior, at the end of September for $49,360 minus the $500 referral. Including the $500 referral, I got $5,380 off MSRP, by finding an "inventory" car vs ordering. Was the exact specs I was looking for and the car had 12 miles on the odometer. Loving it so far!
