Weekly update... I stopped by on my way home from lunch today. It appears all wiring has been run and the site has been cleaned up. Wiring spools, temporary fencing, etc. have all been removed. As of about an hour or so ago, the meters have not been installed.

Workers are back on site today. They are running wires from the transformer to this box:

Drove back through after lunch. Workers are gone. Still no meters.

Transformers are being installed today.

That's some pretty good insight. :) I drove by this site yesterday (from a distance), but didn't see any work activity. As far as I know, still no transformers.

If there are additional stalls being installed, there is no obvious sign of it. I'm not sure what he meant by that. Maybe he has some insight we don't know about? I'll be making a trip to Target this afternoon and will report back if any transformers have shown up.

Drove through the parking lot just now; they are actively drilling today. Everyone seemed busy so I didn't bother them with questions. I will check again over the coming days. No transformer on site that I could see.

I don't think that's how a tax credit works. According to my CPA, it is based on my tax burden (taxes owed for the entire year based on income, deductions, expenses, etc.), not on the additional amount I may owe when I pay my taxes.

What do you mean by charger installation? All 12 charging stalls are already in place - along with 2 L2 chargers. I'm assuming the wiring has been run to them. Or are you talking about a different piece of equipment? It seems to me they have done everything except bring power in.

I've only navigated to a supercharger once and it was about an hour away. As soon as I started the navigation, the car started preconditioning. An hour away seemed like overkill to me - is that normal?

I won't have any major hills / mountains - north Louisiana / Mississippi / South Alabama / Florida. But yeah, I'd estimate 75 mph avg for interstate driving. I'll make sure all my legs are in the 200 mile or less range and adjust accordingly.

Too late! I've already committed. Realistically, I am a new EV owner and want to see what a road trip is like. I've driven over much of the country in gas vehicles and looking forward to this new experience.

The only time I've seen a VIN is when following a link a Tesla sales advisor sent me.

I would start with the service center. Explain the entire process to them from start to finish, including their first technician causing an even larger problem. I guess what I'm suggesting is, don't wait for them to offer you something ($100 free supercharging or whatever), actually ask them...

It seems a warranty is out of the question, but if supercharging is something you want, it surely wouldn't hurt to stop by a few service centers and see what they say.
