Congrats! Also picked up my GLOVIS / MC car today and my experience mirror yours. Overall very clean. One window had some minor marks which they happily cleaned. Build quality was excellent, no gaps or other issues! Have driven around here and there for about 50K today and no rattles or sounds...

Congrats on the new wheels. A week and change for me still. I take it you found no issues? I haven’t seen anyone here mention anything so hopefully that means China built cars are of a consistent quality.

Same same, given what we’ve gone through with GLOVIS I’d appreciate some priority on our orders! Cars have been unloaded for 2 weeks now. Tomorrow marks yet another EDD early date that came and went

they are BS I think, I’ve had earlier than others and later. If they were to deliver to you the 12th they need to send you a message asap to give time to clear payment etc. 12/14 is gonna pass by then we’re looking at march to mid-march

Woke up to find the EDD (Estimated Delay Date, ie when you’ll be notified of further delays). 17 Feb - 2 Mar now. 😭 I think I’ve lost count of how many times the window has slipped 😂 but THIS is surely the last time. MEL delivery from MC.

Yeah my MC EDD in MEL is 5th - 26th FEB and there’s people in Sydney also on MC that has their delivery now in late Feb.

It has been slipping every day since it arrived, I’d be amazed if they finish this week. This morning it was going to conclude by end of day, now it’s all of Thursday as well.

Probably a good move, there is something like 8 vehicle carriers waiting to berth now in MEL.

MC had a blue square on Friday. Blue square indicates operations. So it is possible that some cars (1/3, given another two blue squares are coming up) is unloaded. Pure speculation of course.

MC/MEL also got the arrived in Australia text.

FFS Morning Crystal schedule slipped again…

Vic Ports schedule is pretty useless. Paganella is unloading on the 5th of Feb according to MIRRAT schedule.

If you read earlier in this thread it seems some cars destined for Sydney were accidentally left on the ship and will now need to be brought back after MC has unloaded in Melbourne.

Sleuthing around the interwebs: MIRRAT Schedule & Traffic Management Morning Crystal is booked for 25th

Silver queen, Marvelous Ace and Grand Mercury is currently at Web Dock 1/2/3. The first and last are scheduled to depart 22 & 23. There’s two car carriers moored in the bay though so probably they are first. The Vic Ports site only shows up the 24th so I’m guessing MC may be Scheduled after ? :(

MC approaching Melbourne. Looks like it may have to wait maybe, can see 3 ships in the vehicle unload area, another two carriers in the bay, not sure if they are waiting for a slot, probably based on the draught. One ship has been docked since 15th. Hopefully it can unload asap! Got a call from...

What's transmitted on the AIS signal? - MarineTraffic Blog According to that the draught is manually punched into AIS so we may not see it changing real-time, maybe they update it prior to departure. We should see it head out again tonight… hopefully.

No change in lease agreement for me. They also haven’t paid for car yet. Gave them new invoice and they were happy.

Curious where the cutoff was for MC. It left 2 January so that’s the absolute obviously.

If you have a 3xxx VIN and the updated invoice what is your MFG date ? Mine is 26 December for a 36xxx VIN

Did you ask or this was an automated message ? I got my new invoice with MFG date 26.12 but never received anything official regarding which ship it is on

Filled in my new rego for reassigned VIN. Invoice has disappeared from app/site. Hopefully inbound soon.

People without a new VIN might still be on the Crystal, there was talks about a team working to reassign those that had paid etc, so they may not have gotten around to it yet.

Just got an email from Tesla. Free 6 months EAP and confirmation on reassignment to another car with earlier delivery

They may need to reach out to those that have paid to get it sorted

It’s possible but seems like a hassle for not much benefit. The last parts after PC is the serial and my new one is in the 3 range, whereas the old was close to yours eg 189xxx. It leads me to believe this is non GC also combined with the accelerated EDD

Only the app has the new VIN for me, the invoice hasn’t been updated (yet?) and still shows the old VIN. Invoice states 25.09 for my build date. Will keep an eye on it

Pretty lame to say orders are on hold indefinitely. It’s the Daily Mail though.

Would appear I’m finally released from GC’s stinky grip. Now just need to wait to find out what ship the new car is on so I can obsess over that instead!
