Okay. It was a fast fix. Under 10mins of work removing the panel and swapping those cables.

Thank you for this. Super easy trick and you can always restore it. No need to reassemble everything. I actually opened just the front side of the grill and was able to take off that white plug.

Thank you for this! Just tried this out and opening the door turns on the ambient lights. 😂 So, time to strip the door.
