    Black rubber stoppers

Does it have a hole on the bottom? If so, it could be one of those rubber covers that go over the pin/bolt on the brake caliper.

    Car wash?

No car comes waxed from the factory. Dealerships do that. My MYLR had a lot of wax on it. Looked nice and glossy for weeks before it wore off.

    Car wash?

I use touchless car wash in the winter (I'm near Chicago). The trim does get discolored but it's because of the residue from the strong shampoo. Fixed with some steel cleaner (I use Weiman I bought from Target). In the summer, I hand wash my car. Like other have mentioned, it is therapeutic for...

    Homelink retrofit install failure

I believe that statement has been there from the beginning. When I ordered the module from eBay, I remember checking online and reading that statement. I found out about service mode after all that.

What accessories are included with Model y- 2023

I only has front mudflaps and PPF in front of the rear wheel, on the rear door (how Tesla sends it). So far, my car looks fine. There's no rock chips there. I've done tonnes of launches and most of the 4000+ miles are highway drives and no chips yet *touchwood* The black plastic trim around the...

YT Vid: another Android Rear Entertainment Screen for Tesla Model 3/Y

Unfortunately my wife took our Tesla and I couldn't take any pics. It looks exactly like it does in every other Tesla. Just that I simply cannot get a trim tool or even budge the trim cover from the top half. From the bottom part, I can push in trim tools and even twist it a bit (which was what...

What accessories are included with Model y- 2023

You're welcome! And no. My car is fine. It came with mudflaps in the front and PPF pre-applied on the rear doors. My friend's car didn't. And his is a mess.

YT Vid: another Android Rear Entertainment Screen for Tesla Model 3/Y

I can take a few pics and post here tomorrow. Yesterday, I got two trim removal tools underneath (between the carpet and bottom part of the trim). I pulled and it simply wouldn't come off. I've removed trims in Audis and BMWs and those weren't even half as hard. I managed to mess the bottom up...

What accessories are included with Model y- 2023

I recommend getting both. My friend's car didn't come with those and the rear door near the rear wheel looks like it's always dirty, even when it's spanking clean. And the sad part is that those are rock chips and not dirt.

YT Vid: another Android Rear Entertainment Screen for Tesla Model 3/Y

In my car, there's no way any of my trim tools would fit in through the top part. There's no space at all between the top of the trim and the bottom of the trim continuing from the AC vent. I couldn't even slide a credit card there. I could push a trim tool through the bottom (between the...

Tesla Model Y 2023 - Missing spare CANBUS/OBD plug near A pillar - No more aftermarket gadgets?

Thank you very much for that. I'm hoping mine has it there as well. I just watched a video (from the SEXY button people) where they say some cars have it in front (under the carpet on the side in the driver's side area). I'll get my car back in a couple of days and can check again. I remember...

Cup holder inserts making cup holders to small?

Yes. The cupholder insert makes the cupholders tight. Depending on the insert, it can be very tight. I had one (came with the console organizer I bought) that make the cupholder unusable. The reason I use cupholder inserts is because I only use the cupholder to store a small bottle of water...

YT Vid: another Android Rear Entertainment Screen for Tesla Model 3/Y

Hello! I'm interested in this screen. I have a Dec 2023 Austin-built MYLR (built in October or November - I don't have the car right now so can't check the door sill for months of manufacture). The seller said my car might not have the blue port under the rear ac vent since it's a newer car. I...

Tesla Model Y 2023 - Missing spare CANBUS/OBD plug near A pillar - No more aftermarket gadgets?

Piggybacking on this. I have. December 2023 MYLR (I believe it was built in October or November 2023 - the car isn't with me right now so can't check the door sill plate). I tried removing the trim under the center console some time last week and for the life in me, it wouldn't budge at all. I...

Debating the switch to 18 inch wheels from the 20 inch inductions

The "comfort" suspension on the '23 MYLR is definitely on the stiffer side. And like you, I'm shocked to hear people say that the new comfort suspension is much better than the older stiff suspension the older MYs came with. I simply cannot imagine how horrible ride quality in those cars are. I...

What @Dantley said. Looks like they are screws to hold the plate onto the flame and CF looking caps to cover the screw head.

First Time Tesla Owner - 2024 MYLR Ultra Red - Look Differences Between Pickup Day vs Ceramic Coating (With Pics)

I agree. I DIY-ed CQUK on my older cars. Very easy to use and if you have high spots, a light polish and reapply was all that was needed. It was the first time I ever did paint correction myself too. Looks like "buddy" was just trying to make some easy money. Especially if they didn't do paint...

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

Hell. I had an SQ5 and that used to open at automated car washes because the kick-to-open was sensitive. There was a software update that lowered the sensitivity but then, it because harder to open using that feature.

Credits: Enticing us to get Acceleration Boost?

While the difference may not be noticeable, there definitely is a difference. Both dragy times taken on the exact same road. The road starts slanting upwards (not downwards like the dragy shows; no idea why my dragy doesn't get the slope right). I know we don't live for dragy runs or red light...

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

OT but stuck frunk/hood latches are not specific or common to Tesla alone. Both my Audi A4 and BMW 330i had it. It apparently happened more frequently than I thought it did too, according to the service techs I spoke. So yeah.

Same. Especially how different one-pedal driving/regen feels.

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

That's a nice little review! We had Audis (B9 A4, B9 SQ5, C7 A7) and their build quality is solid. I'm assuming the Q4 E-tron feels the same. We were looking at other EVs but range and charging network was what was of utmost importance to us (we live in a small town with limited chargers). Tesla...

Zero to Sixty in ‘Y Not?’ 2024 Mini Review + pics

The stock car was decently fast. Especially since it didn't need brake boosting and stuff like ICE cars. The instant throttle response was nice. It wasn't as punchy as with AB. It felt smooth. One thing both my wife and I noticed was that regen braking seemed better without AB. I assume that's...

Zero to Sixty in ‘Y Not?’ 2024 Mini Review + pics

You're welcome! And I'm sorry I missed that part. The stock 20" Inductions with Goodyears. Also, I only take into consideration dragy verified runs. Even if runs weren't verified because of low satellite, I don't quote them.

Zero to Sixty in ‘Y Not?’ 2024 Mini Review + pics

I made a correction above. The correction was for the 62-124mph numbers with the car preconditioned, but without AB. 62-124mph was in the 11.6-11.8s range. Not 10.6-10.8s. Did two runs today. MYLR with AB, SoC 97% (first run) and 93% (second run), battery preconditioned. Temp was 46°F. Slope...

Model Y steering locked up while driving [Power steering went out]

I agree. While it's definitely not right that the steering wheel locked up or whatever, that impact (both on the Tesla as well as the Toyota) doesn't look like it happened at "neighborhood speeds".

    Homelink retrofit install failure

Yup. Looks like people with the older 2023 software are still in luck! Probably 2024 that locks it out. It doesn't matter which way the mount is installed. It'll work perfectly irrespective of the direction. The correct way is to obviously click the mount in on the front of the holder spot and...

Zero to Sixty in ‘Y Not?’ 2024 Mini Review + pics

Yes. And weirdly, my LR with AB feels slightly like that (probably not as much as an MYP) when you go WOT from around 20-30mph. Makes me wish it had standard mode as well and sport was an additional mode. I never thought I'd say I missed standard mode! I did some dragy runs with my car...

Zero to Sixty in ‘Y Not?’ 2024 Mini Review + pics

Lmao this is EXACTLY how I described it to a friend today morning! LR/turbo vs P/NA! On the move though, with AB, the LR feels very punchy. The difference is noticeable. But from a dig, there isn't a huge difference between the LR and LRAB. I wouldn't pay $2k for AB but I happily bought it for...

Damn. It looks like Tesla is preventing DIYs by locking it out? I installed my Homelink module a day before I updated my car to the 2024.x.x version (was on 2023.30.x.x before that). I didn't face the issue and Homelink works, for now. Hopefully it doesn't lock out people who have already...

I noticed that I've been having this issue for a long time now (took delivery in Dec 2023). I believe the error might have been present since the beginning. Paint for 20” Induction wheels repair

Make sure you clean the rims properly. Use masking tape around the curbed area (use multiple layers). Then gently sand it (I used a Dremel with a sandpaper attachment). And spray the area. Paint for 20” Induction wheels repair

Rust-Oleum 248928. Used it on a friends MY with 20" inductions that has HORRIBLE curb rash (his wheels looked like they were black with a silver ring around the edge). 4 Wheel drive on Model Y?

I agree. I have an MYLR (not lowered). It is one of the best I've ever driven in these icy and snowy conditions. I'm surprised at how well it handles. The only car that I had that felt this good was our old VW Atlas. We have/had a B9 SQ5, B9 A4, G01 X3, G20 330i, X253 GLC 300, C7 A7 and CLS450...
