Thanks! Some of the aftermarket mats look great but I just think they are overkill for socal. Also, I need as much space as possible being 6’3” and 250lbs. However, when I sat in a M3LR, I didn’t have to put the seat all the way back (a first for me for our family cars).

The Red is awesome, especially in bright sunlight!

Does anyone have any recommendations on carpet floor mats? The ones on the Tesla site have been backordered for a while. I don't need the all-weather as I am in socal (unless you count sand) ;)

I agree. Most salespeople are not nearly as knowledgeable as enthusiasts. My SA also told me they do not have much visibility into delivery times.

If you try to order a M3LR or M3RWD with white interior the Estimated Delivery goes to Jun-Jul, Performance version stays Jun. May be those white seats...

The Tesla (Camarillo, CA) location said they typically see a car delivered about a week after a VIN is assigned. When I asked how accurate the estimated delivery date was, they just said (nicely) to wait till a VIN is assigned.

Does anyone know the sequence of events regarding an order? For example, is the timeframe potentially in flux until a VIN is assigned? Also, does receiving a VIN mean the car currently has parts assigned but not in production, is currently being built or already built? Cheers!

I don't think so, the car was plenty fast and, while I have not experienced "Chill mode". full acceleration was anything but chill.

The one I tried was seriously fast. 3P must be seriously fun! I like the instant acceleration of the EVs compared to ICE. it's pleasantly obnoxious and I feel I am bringing a gun to a knife fight ;-)
