FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

12.4 is good but 12.5 is the big one
  2. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I feel like the time you get updates is based on how much you use FSD Updates were always late for me but i started using FSD a lot when i first got ver 12 now everytime there’s an update i seem to get it on the 2nd day after its released

    Safety score with no insurance?

Is there a way to see what my safety score is with no insurance so that I would have an idea if Tesla insurance is something I would be interested in

    Temporarily or permanently?

The quest for the ultimate efficiency.

I may be getting tires sooner than I thought, I’m at 6/32 right now how many miles you think I have left

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I don’t know how the car can see what’s coming if it’s 6 feet from the stop sign When I drive I’m equal with the stop sign and the nose of my car is like 1-2 feet from the road
  7. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

FSD is good enough now that I can’t tell the difference between the updates

What’s their reasoning for getting a ticket backing into an angle Edit: nm I see, I’ve never had a problem turning the right way when pulling out

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

I’ve noticed I’ve gained back some miles to my estimator after doing lower soc charges too, I’ve gained like 3 miles
  10. gottagofast

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

Well posts in here say deep discharges from a high SoC is an issue
  11. gottagofast

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

How do you avoid deep discharges when going on a road trip? If I’m going long distance I expect to charge to 80-90% then drop all the way down to 5-10% before super charging I might even want to charge to 100% before a trip
  12. gottagofast

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

Yes 2022 performance I was charging to 80% when I first got the car then I started charging to 70% now I’m charging to 60 On the weekends I don’t drive as much so I charge to 50% on weekends I wish the app let you pick your charge level based on which day it is
  13. gottagofast

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

That’s what I thought, if 20% is so important why can they wait until it’s lost 30%
  14. gottagofast

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

Thats around what I’ve started doing, I use 25-30% per day So 60% to 30% would be considered the perfect charging cycle? Is it ok for the car to stay at 30% for 10 hrs while it waits to charge till morning?
  15. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I hope summon becomes 100% usable and safe it’s something I would use often
  16. gottagofast

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

Why not say charge to 100% though if it degrades battery less than 80%
  17. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I’m guessing auto park is the first step in letting FSD take you completely to your destination then park itself?
  18. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I like vision more than USS, it seemed to work perfect for me today, the object in front of me turned red and told me stop then I got out to look and it looks like it was about 4-7 inches away from object
  19. gottagofast

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

They recommend charging to 80% daily but it degrades the battery more than 100% you said They should be recommending 60% or 100% daily instead going by what you found since 70%, 80%, and 90% are all worse for the battery
  20. gottagofast

Some new data from research on Tesla model 3 cells

So teslas recommended charging is completely wrong and worse for the battery? Lol
  21. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Has auto park hit any close curbs in parking spots?
  22. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Auto park has been out awhile for vision only cars before today though
  23. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Has there been any reports of auto park hitting any cars since it’s first release? has it been 100% perfect?
  24. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I’m one of the people with AMD and USS, ready for the update

USS cars finally have vision park assist?

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Why does my car always want to be in a left lane on a 2, 3, and 4 lane road? The left lane is for fast moving traffic and passing and I have my car set to chill and only 5 mph above the speed limit Other cars in the left lane are going 10 mph over the speed limit and my car keeps going in the...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

There was a double yellow line that mine would always drive on and now it’s not anymore also on the same software, this is becoming self aware and learning it self 🤯
  28. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Mine will start to slow down in a speed zone right as I’m just exiting the speed zone, that’s how long it takes lol
  29. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Mine is a little too aggressive on lane changes even in chill, another car will be coming up on me pretty fast in the other lane and fsd just decides it wants to change lanes Then the other car that was coming fast is forced to slow when my car changes lanes in front of them Yes it had time...

Safe way to clean the cars charge port?

notice I got some dirt in mine some how when I went to charge it last night, maybe it was from my charging cable falling on the ground But anyway I didn’t want to put my hand in there and get shocked or something

The quest for the ultimate efficiency.

    No 15 miles distance
  32. gottagofast

The quest for the ultimate efficiency.

This is over 30 miles, the 15 mile average can be 180-190 How do I see the average speed, I would take a guess that it’s low 50s
  33. gottagofast

The quest for the ultimate efficiency.

This is just from my everyday work commute, I probably go 60-63 mph for 60% of the trip and 40-45 mph for 40% Oh and the Michelins are pilot sports
  34. gottagofast

The quest for the ultimate efficiency.

Maybe the tires just needed to wear some, Does this mean I’ll be able to get 170 wh/mile with the hankook evo all seasons?

    Wall connector amp setting

Yea I got it set up to 50 amps then set the charging amps in the car to 36 just to be safe
  36. gottagofast

    Wall connector amp setting

That’s interesting that the 50 amp breaker wouldn’t trip if it’s charging at 48 amps It’s 6 gauge wire
  37. gottagofast

    Wall connector amp setting

Oh ok so it comes out of the box at 40 amps? That actually is probably good enough for me And since it’s a 50 amp breaker it shouldn’t go above 40 amps anyway
  38. gottagofast

    Wall connector amp setting

I’m having a wall connector installed on a 50 amp breaker, is it necessary to go into the wall connectors settings and change it to 50 amp breaker or does it do that by itself? I don’t want it to charge at 60 amps when it’s on a 50 amp breaker
  39. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Very strange the car didn’t even attempt to brake when the truck turned back into the other lane the camera obviously has to see the road blocked
  40. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

It would be safer than no driver at all even in current state
  41. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

If someone goes unconscious at the wheel FSD should automatically enable and drive until it finds nearest safe place to pull over, wether someone has bought FSD or not
  42. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

It works so good that it really makes me want it to be just 1 step up better so I can use it without looking out the window or holding the steering wheel I didn’t feel that way before until it started getting good I wonder since FSD supervised has replaced enhanced autopilot that they might...

Long Term Battery Costs, Fears, and Serviceability

The battery degrades less over time if you keep the charge between 30-55% as much as possible for the long range and performance vehicles
  44. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

It’s just a straight road where the speed changes from 55 to 45 and it doesn’t slow down It shows on my screen that the speed limit is 45 but it ignores it for a long time
  45. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

The changing from 2 lanes to 1 lane is an issue, mine waits to the absolute last second to change lanes when it changes to 1 lane, idk what would have happened if a car was beside me because it would either be drive off the road or hit the car beside me
  46. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Forgot 1 more issue is the car takes too long to slow down after passing a lower speed limit sign
  47. gottagofast

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

Only issues with 12.3.4 with me so far are there’s 2 parts of my trip where the car drives on the center yellow line in the road for about 3 seconds and I’ve had 2 incidents where my car got way to close to cars in front of me after I went through a stop/yield sign, it had to be 1 foot or less...

How hard to replace model 3/Y screen yourself?

I saw you could get screens on eBay for $100-300, if it’s an easy diy that sounds a lot better than $1,900

    Touchscreen heat

92 here yesterday it said my cabin temp was 155 Back of my screen was so hot that it would have burnt me if I left my hand on it for more than 1 second
