Cheers Gauss for your input and noted that FUCA is most likely the problem. Re your sway bar comment, another guy mentioned it sounded like the drop link - does that sound plausible to you? I need to get a mobile technician to come have a look so I can at least reliably repeat it on my driveway...

Cheers for your response HonchoNI. Ah right, that would be consistent with the noise appearing under body roll when the car turns and the sway bar is in effect. I hadn’t considered drop links, I admit I honed in on the FUCA given the coverage on that.
