I imagine that this is a silly question, but if one delays their pickup date due for whatever reason (eg cannot get away from work until end of pickup window), does the car sit idle on the lot until that day? Surely they are not using those cars awaiting pickup for demo drives, right...

Huh. Our dates seem to have been so close each step of the way. Sounds like maybe the train to Birmingham had a delay? I understand they then distribute to east coast via truck thereafter.

Where are you located? I had a delivery scheduled for today and yesterday I received the exact same message bumping me to later in the week. I’m guessing our cars are on same truck. I’m in Virginia.

I ordered back in mid February. I imagine the delay is just normal logistics stuff (train schedule, truck routes, etc.). My car is RWD, but I would be willing to upgrade to AWD if I could get it sooner but I know those are in very short supply!
