Maybe...but using envelope math. 100-110° in Houston summers would mean it'll be 125-150° inside a car. No way that won't accelerate some material wear even with a sunshade.

You're probably right. Never had an internal temperature sensor before. I'm in Houston, TX area. Which means 10 months out of the year my car will be running this feature. Probably a good thing in terms of wear and tear of the internal materials, but not so much for the A/C system

I'm sure there's a greenhouse impact. But there's no way the interior temperature is 100° while the outside is 70°. Sunshine or otherwise.
