Slightly off-topic: Why doesn’t Tesla let you buy out a lease? What’s the logic behind that? Seems like it would be good for the company’s bottom line.

Well, I'm going to gamble that the LR is eligible for the tax rebate, and I just ordered this car from inventory. I have a VIN and an EDD of May 14-May23.

I'd like to see something definitive on the LR and the tax credit. If that's for real, I'm changing my order to LR, of course.

I have the same question. Sometimes I want to sit in the car with everything completely powered down. Is that the best way to do it? Controls > Safety > Power off?
