surprised that the switch can't take into account that the bike rack is always at a fixed distance from the car and therefore it's not a fixed obstacle that your about to hit and therfore not give you all the ding dings, bells that you're about to hit something. -

Can "trail mode" be latched
I have a bike rack on the hitch all the time. Putting the car in trail mode works great to eliminate the warning signs, beeps, etc every time I back up however it resets back to off after every ride. Is there a way to keep that setting permanently?
