Powerwall 2 constantly exporting about 100-130W to the grid?

Octopus are brilliant! Thank you for the link @Cmdr Powell, that was spot on! I dropped Octopus an email last night and the author, Phil, came back to me this morning confirming that the issue is with that specific model of Landis + Gyr smart meter, and they're going to replace it. Thanks everyone!

Powerwall 2 constantly exporting about 100-130W to the grid?

Well, they came out and checked things thoroughly and couldn't find anything obvious. They put a CT clamp on the actual live cable coming into the house and it measured around 1.2A being exported, which would convert to around 260W - which also doesn't correlate with the ~100W that the smart...

Powerwall 2 constantly exporting about 100-130W to the grid?

Many thanks everyone - sorry for the delay in replying, we've been away for a week. I've contacted the installer who are going to get someone to take a look tomorrow when they do the final electricity installation sign-off certificate, so we'll see what they say. Dependent on that, I'll contact...

Powerwall 2 constantly exporting about 100-130W to the grid?

Thanks John. The Powerwall reports 0W to/from the grid so it seems oblivious to the export going on; however there definitely is current flowing out into the grid, since when I go "off grid", it drops to effectively 0W. This is somewhat annoying as it will eat up to about 15% of the battery each...

Powerwall 2 constantly exporting about 100-130W to the grid?

Hello all, I've had my Powerwall 2 for a few days now, and I've noticed that even when the house is set to run off the battery (which is all day from 05:30 onwards), my utility smart meter shows a constant export to the grid of 100-130W. If I "go off-grid", then this disappears to 9W which is...

Help with Powerwall just fitted (stuck at 100% and not discharging to power the house) UK

I'm trying to find smaller, narrower panels that might work, but so far two experienced solar companies have both said it's not feasible. Pity.

Help with Powerwall just fitted (stuck at 100% and not discharging to power the house) UK

Seems I can't edit posts, so I'm having to add this separately. For context, here is the aerial view of our house... everything shades everything else or has a dormer window in it. The only "clear" roof is the east-facing roof, which is indeed shaded by tall trees. Not sure this is going to be...

Help with Powerwall just fitted (stuck at 100% and not discharging to power the house) UK

Thanks everyone, that's really set me thinking now then... I shall have a look and see what the situation is, because our East-facing roof might be partially sheltered by the neighbour's trees, and the West-facing roof also has dormer windows in, thinking about it! It's just the worst possible...

Help with Powerwall just fitted (stuck at 100% and not discharging to power the house) UK

Thought it must be you! All good here thanks, still on the 2020 LRDM Polestar 2 and Zoe combination. We did look around recently to see if anything tickled our fancy to move away from the Polestar 2... but nothing really stands out (probably not the forum to say that 😉 ) and the worst of the...

Help with Powerwall just fitted (stuck at 100% and not discharging to power the house) UK

And a 2 minute call to Tesla's Powerwall helpdesk (01628 450630 in the UK) was all it took for the Tesla support guy to confirm it had been set up in Backup mode. He switched it immediately and now it's running the house! Awesome, well done Tesla Customer Service. I shall let the installer know...

Help with Powerwall just fitted (stuck at 100% and not discharging to power the house) UK

I'm having exactly the same thing - it looks like the installer set it up in Backup mode, as I have only the Backup Reserve screen and no options to change operating mode. I'll try giving Tesla a call. By the way @Stageshoot ... are you the same one I know from my Kona days? ;)
