I think us CA folks are about to get bad news either later this week or early next week. No transparency out of Fremont, but my guess is they are not able to keep up and hit their delivery numbers which is why everyone without a VIN right now is unlikely to get a June delivery.

I'll give it till July, but ordering in May and waiting 2+ months to get a car which is actually extremely common where I live seems dumb. If I can get a 2021 M3P for half the price of a new one, and it includes Tint, PPF, full FSD, etc then it feels worth considering. I've seen a few of those...

CA folks who took delivery: How deep into your EDD range did the VIN come and how soon after getting a VIN did you take delivery? Feels like a lot of folks haven’t punched in all their dates into tracker, so I have no idea what to expect right now.

Interesting, the window was so short for anyone to get any color but stealth gray and still qualify for the tax credit. The vast majority of Model 3 highlands that I see on the road are SG. Probably the same will be true of the M3P.

Did anyone who got pulled into the end of quarter delivery rush with an EDD update get a VIN? I am less than two weeks out from the start of a very right 9 day EDD window and still don’t have a VIN.

My EDD changed today. By a whopping one day. Went from June 22-30 to June 21-30. Either way, they won’t get my cash in Q2 unless they pull it in another week since I am traveling. We will be playing an interesting game of scheduling cat and mouse soon.

Yup, lots of us in this boat. Mine is EDD of 6/22 to 6/30. I think you should assume if no VIN within a week of the EDD window, it’s likely to get pushed to July.

What if the person had a legitimate reason for the second no-show. Like their dog ate their cashier's check? Surely there's some leeway for a few days delay here and there. Accidents do happen.

So hypothetically, what if you agreed to take delivery on a certain date, and then didn't show up? And then apologetically promised to show up in another 3 days. And then did it again. And then finally show up after 9 days to take the car. Asking for a friend.

So weird that us Bay Area folks are getting pushed to Q2 now especially with the cars being made in our backyard. There aren’t that many orders from folks out here, so it’s annoying they can’t whip up a quick batch and tell us to come to Fremont to pick them up.

Our vacation plans were made long ago, well before the M3P was announced. But I have never ordered a Tesla so I didn’t realize they were so strict about delivery windows. They should give at least a 10 day window when they keep delaying their EDDs.
