A super scientific approach of just watching the steering wheel closely while FSD was engaged. As the car pulled to the right, the FSD kept pulling it back. It’s not good at dealing with so the whole experience felt unsafe just trying to stay in the lane. I intervened several times.

First day commuting with the M3P and I definitely noticed my alignment is off. Not so noticeable when I'm driving myself but I could see the autopilot/FSD computer compensating for it. Definitely need to make a service appointment to fix.

Not doing PPF. I had it before and I don’t feel that it’s worth it for a car in this price range. The turnaround time for just ceramic + tint is only 24 hours, so I can manage without the car for that long. Dropping mine off on Monday morning and picking up the next day.

This is so angering for those of us in the Bay Area that live close to Fremont. They literally won’t ship our cars but they have extras all over SoCal.

No change in EDD or VIN for me today, but looks like they finally updated the app to filter for M3 Performance. But in my area nothing is available in inventory. Maybe they shouldn’t have sent all our cars to SoCal.

I am traveling in SoCal right now and noticed I get an error in the app when looking for other configuration inventory now on my order. Not sure if this is due to my current geolocation or if I am about to get a VIN!

LOL I am 100% certain if I don’t pick it up, they will re-assign the VIN to someone in SoCal or the midwest who ordered in June before giving it to anyone north of Santa Barbara.

I had a similar experience in the showroom in Dublin, CA. A really big dude and his dad kept getting in and out of the one M3P there to see if the seats would work for them. There is no way the seat bolsters could handle that kinda abuse from so many customers on a daily basis and stay firm.

Talked to my SA and we looked for inventory in CA and it looks like all the M3Ps ended up in the Los Angeles area this week. He was willing to help me take delivery down there if I needed to, but we couldn't find anything available anywhere in the Bay Area or the surrounding Norcal locations...

I agree, especially with the bolstering on the M3P seats, you know more than a few big dudes sat in it to see if it was comfortable. Showroom cars get abused on the interior. Mechanical parts will be fine.

I demo’d the MY, MS, and M3 highland at the service center. It wasn’t even close as the M3 felt more modern, had better build quality, and was priced very competitively. The MY felt very outdated and clunky, the MS felt overpriced and heavier, and the M3 was just right. The choice was obvious.

I'm positive they just loosened the regulations. It only applies to the MY, M3 LR, and M3 Performance. Notably, the M3 SR is still not tax credit eligible. Probably they are still negotiating those regulations with the Biden admin.

My issue is the fact that people several states away are getting orders delivered faster than me, with zero transparency from Tesla. I get it, it’s not a $100K+ made-to-order Porsche, but some indication of when its coming, plus some flexibility on delivery dates during peak summer travel time...

I feel similarly. I keep wondering if I should go test drive a BMW i4 e40 just to have a back up option. I am so pissed at Tesla for this whole ordering and delivery experience of the m3p. If I get screwed by a vacation hold and extended far into July, I will look at other options much more...

Problem is so many people in CA travel around end of June / early July, they need to pull in the EDDs if they want to ship those cars in Q2.
