So in answering my own earlier post, I removed hold 6/19 and got an EDD this afternoon of 7/2-7/30 which is okay if it holds. The car we’re replacing will go to family so the timing doesn’t have to be specific. Same thought process in my head but the M3P is such a great value proposition.

Took my day one order off hold due to inability to pickup (out of country). I’ve been back in the que a couple of days but no EDD in app or online but no way to modify order either. I just have the offer tab to switch to another trim available now. Anybody else missing EDD?

At some point, demand for the M3P will exhaust itself. The tax incentive qualification will keep demand up much longer than the 3SR and 3LR unless Tesla manages to get those trims qualified. Q4 is a longtime from today, especially for those who are waiting on an order, but there will be M3Ps...

There was no way to hold the current car past the delivery date (6/8) so they released the VIN. The order hold is up to two weeks with supposedly no price change and then they will look for a match again. Where in the que I return is the great mystery. The local guy said he would work with me...

I think outside other Tesla owners, most people won't know what the performance badge is, at least for awhile or when you leave them at the light - responsibly ;)

I'm not worried about depreciation. Our cars are kept for at least 5 years and we are paying cash. I'm not eligible for tax credit but I cannot think of another car with the value price point with the efficiency, practicality and performance, so we'll take the $7500 hit as just an added income...

Not sure where to post this question so here it goes. If anyone is familiar with used Tesla values, how will the tax credit affect M3P values going forward? It's in a weird spot because not all buyers qualify for the tax credit but more variable is the timing of purchase and color combos that...

That sucks. What does "prioritizing" mean? You don't get an existing VIN unless someone cancels an order with your specs. Tesla isn't going to single ship a car from the factory to you. I figure you have to wait for the next batch that matches your specs and a full truck/rail car of Teslas...

How about getting ghosted and your delivery window started 5 days ago? The customer service aspect is pooooooor.

And I wonder how many sales they lose this way? Maybe the $250 holds a lot of people into their choice. I would imagine the West Coast has the highest concentration of Tesla orders when factoring in population and target market.

Exactly, if my window with VIN keeps getting pushed, then pick-up is going to be a big pain. I work 12 hour shifts and can't just jet out to drive a 100 miles or take time off. It would actually be better to get the vehicle at the very end of June but if I miss this window then who knows how far...

Interstate shipping vs not. Forgot about the CA same longitude states. OR/WA in the eyes of delivery is the same as New Mexico or Kansas. Third party rail or truck. The only difference is the days on rail or truck.

If the accountants tell Tesla to pump up the numbers for the month and quarter, then this is exactly what will happen. It's a big middle finger to those east of Cali but it's either a short term game strategy to boost sales now and lose some sales later and/or they know "x" percent of order...

For those in Texas with a VIN and close to or in the EDD window, have you heard anything about delivery/availability? Looks like a couple of San Antonio people are scheduled. I do not see any other Texas city with a definitive delivery date set.

I wouldn't count on the delivery dates in the tracker. Someone had put 5/25 in my delivery date field and I deleted it. It looks like a few got filled in with the same date. SA told me last week that car should arrive in Austin tomorrow or Wed but I have not received any text about delivery date...

Didn't have time to reply earlier to the thread but that's what I was told as well (28-29th) for my Austin bound M3P when my SA finally messaged back, so that was helpful.

Had a white interior for the last 5 years in another make. Minimal problems keeping clean even with two dogs and a dog seat protector. I would not do white with kids under 16.

Jumping on to say received VIN this morning after original order within the hour of online availability. M3P SG/White EDD 5/27-6/3 as well. Cen Tex area. I imagine they will want me to take delivery in Austin. Much quicker than we anticipated. Going to have to juggle things to arrange pick-up...
