The earliest time you get the VIN is around the time the ship is loaded with the car, in Shanghai. Many get the VIN within few days, a week after Shanghai, but you can get it much later to, as I seemed to get it when the ship was in Barcelona. I guess they tried to see how many cars was assigned...
