Picked up my SG/Black this afternoon. I haven’t had this much fun driving since I first got my license. Fit and finish was surprisingly good. A couple little panel adjustments needed. Small pock mark in the front fender that they’ll fix. Other than that it’s pretty much perfect.

Which shop did you use?

I was wondering if you had gotten a VIN around when I did and just hadn’t updated yet. Glad to see it came at least. I am picking up this afternoon from Aurora. Hopefully no issues.

Good to know. I just don’t want 3 different shades. Haha. I’m going to see if they’ll do the 15% all around and 45% on the windshield. I can’t imagine it really matters since it would be hard to prove the tint broke the glass.

They’re doing the whole back glass all the way up and said they could split it but if it was going to be one solid pierce that it should be 70% because of the heat issue. In doing some reading I see others mention this but most just say it’s bull and the back glass already had defects.

For those who have tinted their cars what’s the deal with the back window tint percentage? My shop is telling me that they will only do 70% on the back glass (The whole thing) due to some heat issues cracking the glass with darker tints? Anyone else hear this? They are recommending 45% on the...

My car is scheduled to arrive in Denver on 6/22 and my delivery appointment is set for 6/24. My app still wasn’t allowing final payment so I had to ask why and that’s when they scheduled delivery. Not sure why someone didn’t reach out like others have mentioned.

The approvals are good for 30-60 days depending on the lender. It tells you this when you first apply.

Tesla offered me $20100 for my trade-in (Non-Tesla) and I am selling it today to a KBB dealer for $23000 so definitely shop around. That pays for my tint at least.

Someone posted yesterday that the average is 11 days but that’s completely dependent on location. I think some in Cali have seen it in like 2 days.

I believe that is the soft match info, they just didn’t use the term.

Fingers crossed. It seems like if your west of the Mississippi and didn’t get your EDD pushed out of June this week then there is a chance.

You and I have been neck and neck. Mine also pulled in from 6/26-6/30 to 6/19-6/30. Still no VINs though so let’s hope it sticks.

Since the article is 5 years old you would hope they’ve resolved those issues but it is big industry so it may actually be worse now :/

I can’t find anything to suggest the 24 glass is different on the performance. That being said, how did it come out? What did you do with? How was the price?

Based on others who have experienced issues with damage, they received new VIN's almost immediately so you may not go right to the front of the line but it should be pretty quick.

I know, I was just joking. And who knows how many replacements had to be sent from the hail.

They must be flying it in just for you since it seems the rest of us Denverites have either received no VIN or those that have seem to still not have taken delivery. I know the hail screwed it up but I wonder where all the cars have gone.

Everyone is admiring the UR/Black but seeing these just reinforces my decision to go with SG/Black. Looks great!

I saw a shift today to with the same EDD in Denver and it seems lots of others were shifted into June as well. While I want to believe that it will happen and got excited, it seems like they are trying to make some internal numbers look good and won’t actually deliver. Until we have those...

EDD moved up from July 21 - Sep 1 to June 26 - June 30. No VIN so I’ll believe it when I see it.
