Are there really air vents under the front seats in the Model 3 Highland?

The US build Highland has 'old' vents - the one listed for 2023 will fit it. I got the same covers as you and threw them away, contacted the manufacturer (Yeslak) but they blew me off. I got the velcro ones from Amazon, they're perfect: Amazon.com

    Snippiness 2.0

Issue was settled couple of days ago when first Monroney was published. You contributed zero to actual discovery, huffing and puffing instead, outright rejecting any alternative theories without any attempt to enter a discussion, while gaslighting anybody who dared to think in broader terms ...

2024 Model 3 LR AWD is now eligible for the $7500 tax credit [posted 06/17/2024]

That's impressive, although looking back the writing was on the wall. I was set to get Model Y when they were giving them practically away two months ago, clearly they overestimated demand for Y, which freed Panasonic batteries to be used in 3. My wife didn't like the Y, like at all, but she...

Thank you for posting it, you’re the first one to provide a definite proof.

2024 Model 3 LR AWD is now eligible for the $7500 tax credit [posted 06/17/2024]

The website was updated today, there were no 3's with tax rebate in inventory yesterday, today most of them are. I checked three models that I was looking at yesterday and they still display the same "Lease or business tax credit only". It looks like there is a cutoff date/VIN. Anybody figured...

I think more likely is that Tesla didn’t communicate all information to line workers at their locations. They have to give you a copy of papers filed with IRS when picking up the car.

That would make the most sense. Otherwise Tesla would issue some manufacturing cut off date. We know that cars fulfilling the tax credit rule were made before the announcement was made.

So, who's right, Matt Salts or Troy Teslike, because I'm not sure what you want to prove. Or who either of those guys are.

What truth? We're speculating here, including you. Until we get some official disclosure from Tesla it's a Schrödinger's tax credit. Both a change in battery sourcing and regulations are valid at the same time.

2024 Model 3 LR AWD is now eligible for the $7500 tax credit [posted 06/17/2024]

It took them a full day to update the BTO models with the tax credit. It's a website. I don't consider this to have any meaning at all. Like, do they think people will pay 8k more for a used car with 1000 miles over a new one?

2024 Model 3 LR AWD is now eligible for the $7500 tax credit [posted 06/17/2024]

They couldn't immediately, because if you look at the regulations, the manufacturer had to submit a plan to treasury that it will comply with regulations by 2027, before it was allowed to be approved under this final rule from May 3rd. The timeline checks out. The point of sale issue is a valid...

2024 Model 3 LR AWD is now eligible for the $7500 tax credit [posted 06/17/2024]

Yes they did. It's 60/50 btw. What changed is that if you had any China sourced rare minerals you were banned from tax credits. As of May 3rd this is allowed.

No, it can have China materials, that's the whole point. The rules have changed, not necessary the batteries. We don't know yet for sure.

2024 Model 3 LR AWD is now eligible for the $7500 tax credit [posted 06/17/2024]

The sticking point was rare minerals sourced from China. This was banned completely. As of March 3rd is not anymore. If you look at window stickers, Tesla was fine in the percentage department. So the question is again - do you know that the battery was changed?

2024 Model 3 LR AWD is now eligible for the $7500 tax credit [posted 06/17/2024]

This was outright banned, and since May 3rd Chinese critical minerals are allowed. The timeline checks out, manufacturers had to submit some plan to Treasury, there is a chance these are the same batteries, just fall under the new regulation. I hope.
