    Supercharger - West Seneca, NY

Hi, I'm the VP of Tesla Owners NY State and the Niagara Frontier regional organizer. Everyone here, please be advised that leadership at the factory reached out to me on this issue. TESLA CORPORATE IS WELL AWARE OF THE ILLEGAL CHARGING AND SECURITY HAS STARTED TURNING AWAY ANYONE NOT...

What’s your best time in solitaire?

My strategy is bulk turnovers, with lots of pondering on the groupings, and yes! Down to 0:52 now.

National Grid and Tesla Backup Switch [PV + (1) PW+ and (1) PW2]

May I ask what ever happened with getting your solar/backup system online? And have you heard anything new about National Grid's stance on the Backup Switch? (I'm also in NYS--thanks.)

Part fell off charge port cover!

Trust me, you will want a better adhesive than just super glue. I'd recommend you seal it with a fine bead of gasket sealer or some sort of strong tape. Mobile service reglued mine and it still fell off again. Hence my advice above. Note that if you lose the magnet piece, then an entire charge...

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

I noticed this week that GF2 has a couple of destination chargers installed in the front lot. (Seems to be "no trespassing" still) Any updates on the Buffalo or Salamanca SpC sitings? The latter seems odd vs. Ellicottville, which may have more amenities. . . . Finally, if anyone else is...

    New Service Experience

That's a little upsetting to hear, @xrayangiodoc — considering that CLE seems to be a quicker drive than the Pittsburgh area. I nominate Gigafactory 2 for the WNY location. Seems there's enough space, right?!

    New Service Experience

Thanks, @Joer293 — that's all useful info. Fortunately it's a respected brand (Korean) with a smart power controller. No vampire drain, no i-products at all in the car.

Current owners of 40 kWh configuration

Can anyone verify that the S40 was sold for US$55,000 or less, new? Someone on YouTube is contesting that any Model S ever sold that low. Thanks~ UPDATE: I found via Model S Options & Pricing | Tesla Motors that the 40's starting price is listed there as "49,900 After $7,500 Federal Tax Credit."

    New Service Experience

I'm still in the last phase of owning "arguably the second safest car in the world" but coincidentally will be returning to the dealership (ugh, what a word) for just that issue, tomorrow. It's to turn off a "Service overdue" message on the annunciator they forgot to check last time. (I bet you...

Anyone interested in some press contact for you and your EV in Niagara wine country, here's a short-notice opportunity. . . . Ontario's Niagara wine region will join Sun Country Highway's Eco Wine Tour series with an introductory tour on Monday, September 14, 2015.

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

True! But don't forget George Westinghouse—he had the capital to commercialize Nikola's patents. Of course a sticker of him might not be as recognizable. . . . Maybe I should add that I'm a Niagara buff and am glad to point out some historical AC sites still viewable. I've arranged a tour for...

Just an FYI, some red utility vehicles were there this afternoon and the cones that had been blocking the first two stalls were neatly stashed. . . .

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

Not even a week on the job in Clarence, and look at what's appearing out west already: a liquid cooled SC with a thinner cable. . . . Either way, it would be something to see similar thermal imaging in the middle of a WNY winter. At least a couple of months away!

It was my pleasure, @jrreno--I was walking past after an early appointment and figured those were the final touches in progress. Congratulations to the first "customer," @tomsModelS. FWIW, the fuses and meter are in as of 9 a.m. Thursday. They are polyurethaning the fence and testing seems imminent. Plastic wraps are the last step, it seems. . . .

Right, aside from snowplowing. Then it looks trickier as far as how and where to pile it up . . . but as I said before, the exhaust from the fans may help re accumulation right there, at least a bit. Any opinions welcome.

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

You're right, D—I was mainly pointing out the irony of any power-related delay in this, of all locales. As far as delivery capacity, you're right. Luckily it seems that this particular stretch of Transit Road has no lack of capacity. I thought they sited the SC here just because there's a hefty...

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

Not that it would be feasible, but you have to wonder how many transformers of this grade might be sitting idle on the grounds of mothballed plants in Buffalo/Niagara--the ancestral epicenter of hydropower. BTW, did anyone else notice the red Model S in Williamsville over the weekend? Bright...

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

Just wondering, will the bumpout of the transformer and chargers pose any issue for snow removal in the confines of that lot, as opposed to locating them on the lawn area? It seems like a straight plowing path along the stalls may have been better, had they been able. I suppose if the station's...

I just observed the same during a drive-by. The charger "skeletons" are all standing in their spots, transformer units still staged in their crates.

On the other end of the spectrum, and the Barnes and Noble plaza, is Caffe Espresso. It's a family run, fairly toney place with al fresco dining and a great view of jets on final approach to Buffalo-Niagara International.

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

Yes, I'm local and there are plenty of amenities nearby no matter what season. The closest on foot would be a Barnes and Noble with a Starbucks within it. In another minute, you have a mid-range mall as well as chain and local restaurants. Beyond that, plenty more. Feel free to message me with...

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

You're right, it's not exactly adjacent to the Thruway. But as far as walkable destinations, it's closest to a Barnes and Noble / Starbucks, Best Buy and other retail, plus chain and local dining (including a local Irish megapub and a Italian boutique restaurant). There's also a '70s mall next...

    Supercharger - Buffalo, NY

I'm local and last time I went past it (a little over a month ago) there were dozens, and I mean DOZENS, of heavy construction vehicles on the premises and working on a Saturday. I'll try to post an update the next time I'm around, but you should know that the foundation was already well in...
