I wish I could get 221 miles at 90% on my 2015 85S. I get 217 miles at 100%. I'm told everything is fine.

Thanks for sharing. It's kind of a bummer that you didn't get one of the 89kwh packs. I was hoping they would become the standard replacement for warrantied 85kwh packs. Maybe because performance cars need 400v packs?

Here is some from Scan My Tesla on bluetooth adapters and the cable you'll need to connect it to the CANBUS which is under the MCU, not the one from under the dash left of the steering wheel: scan my tesla. I ordered the adapter and cable from amazon.com.

Thanks for the screenshots. Can you share the BMS info at 100% or close to it? I would like the BMS data from an uncapped car showing close to 9.2v. Mine is capped at 9.1v. Here is a screenshot of my car:

Look in the front passenger side wheel well outside the car. There's a label with the number. You might need to turn the wheel to the right to get a clearer view. There's also lots of postings in the forums on this you can search for more information.

My uneducated guess is that Tesla simply limited max voltage to 4.1v from 4.2v to make the batteries last longer and avoid warranty replacements. I'm not sure it is much more complicated than that but this is just my opinion.

This is encouraging only 85 kWh cars are getting this update that started rolling out yesterday.

I think there is plenty of data out there that the cell voltage at full charge dropped from 4.2v to 4.07v corresponding to a drop in nominal full pack from over 75 kWh to under 65 kWh for all cars affected. I think this is pretty well established at this point.

Compared to my afflicted Model S 85

I think my battery pack is pretty balanced based on the BMS data I get and I still lost 30 miles and am limited to 4.07v max.

On my 2015 S 85 here is the BMS data from Scan My Tesla at very close to 100% charge. The most I ever see these days is 4.07v. My Nominal full pack in the battery data is 63.8 kWh.
