BTW just installed 2024.2.7 without issue. '22 AWD +50.

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

How're y'all feeling about the "Allow Update" control now being gone? I'm relatively new to life with this module and I had appreciated the extra safety net for the short time I had the module installed with that functionality present.

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

As this would be my first update since install, I am itching bad to install — is it typical to lag this many days behind before publishing on the "safe to install" page, or is it a potential sign there might be an incompatibility? It's annoying to see the "Install Update" every time I shift into...

Ask Ingenext. Also probably want to keep updates somewhat up to date, unless you have a specific reason not to.

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

I finished the install and am just finishing up putting the trim back. I had to go pick up kids from school, there's another Tesla avail if I couldn't have brought this car to a drivable state — but I did. I couldn't finish everything, basically glovebox and airbag were back in 100% but upper...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Update: I have the glovebox removed and am still having a really tough time unplugging the X170 connector. The way they ran the other wires is blocking my access to the trick mechanism for unlocking it. Can anyone who's done it offer any advice? I am convinced there is no way in hell you can do...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Thank you. I believe on Ryzen it's even more difficult. Here's a pic I took, it's tight tight tight! Maybe if I remove the upper door jamb trim there would be a little more space to work. I can't even really see the upper connector! Edit: so the two connectors that need to be routed thru the...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Can you provide some guidance on this? Looking to install on a '22 Ryzen 3 AWD, I don't care how long it takes to try to fit my fingers in there if I don't have to remove the glovebox.

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Is this on a Ryzen car? I've had the thing sitting here for 2 months because I just can't find the time to take so much apart (worried I'll damage some stuff in the process, haven't been able to find the time to take my time with it). I'd much rather try to fit my fingers in there for an hour...

    Ingenext Boost Modules [aftermarket]

Question about regen control — anyone know what the stock regen is approximately? I am hoping that 100% with the Boost 50 module is more than what's stock on these cars, as in I want to dial more in, as opposed to being able to set 0-100% where 100% is what's stock on the car (which IMO is too...

    Supercharging and geocaching...

Great idea but AFAIK virtuals were banned in 2005, looong time ago. Unless you’ve been blessed with a gift of a virtual? 😜 I wish I had one, could have used it for a new SC near me.

Corded mobile connector back in stock at Tesla shop

Don't want to beat a dead horse, but you're totally fine w/ 240V@32A unless your use case it something like driving the car for Uber (I'm assuming this is not the case; I'm using it to illustrate an extreme). I am fine with two Teslas on 240V@32A! The only reason I'm looking at a WC is kinda...

Corded mobile connector back in stock at Tesla shop

It’s weird because I’ve had alerts on other items in the store and got them (and actually managed to snag the items). And this one, which I really wanted for over half a year, didn’t work. I’m pretty sure I had alerts on two separate email addresses. Def not in spam as it’s worked before and I...

J1772 Mobile Charger Capable of 40A

Are you me? This is exactly how I feel. CMC is the ultimate 14-50 solution IMO, almost as fast as a WC while keeping that 14-50 flexibility 😜
  17. Yankees

Corded mobile connector back in stock at Tesla shop

I'm talking about the CMC, the Corded Mobile Connector (the permanent 14-50 which does 40A). I have two UMCv2 adapters, one from each car ;) But I would totally the the CMC if it ever came back in stock to leave in the garage permanently on my 14-50, IMO it's the best option short of a WC (and...

J1772 Mobile Charger Capable of 40A

A few quick points: Stay away from UMCv1 (the one that did 40A), it's a dead product. You do not want an electrical fire and any stock you find will be not only be old but likely used. No support, no replacement. Avoid. CMC (Corded Mobile Connector) is nice but looks like another dead product...

Gen3 HPWC disassembly, with overheating issues explained!

I added active cooling for the UMCv2 so I can charge and will see what Tesla Mobile Service decides to do on Mon (my appt). Gen3 HPWC disassembly, with overheating issues explained!

My bad, I meant the -G, as that's what I'd be buying. I guess it can't be worse than the UMCv2, so I'll take a gamble on it. I wonder if the CMC was any good, but I don't think they'll make that anymore. I do wonder why Clipper Creek stuff is so expensive, a 48A WC from them is ~$1k, 2.5x the...

Gen3 HPWC disassembly, with overheating issues explained!

I've run thru all that. There is nothing wrong with the install, which was done by a Tesla-approved installer. I also don't do frequent 14-50 unplugs/replugs, I've probably only plugged/unplugged the current UMCv2 twice in 1 year. As a matter of fact, one of those unplugs was when I actually...

Gen3 HPWC disassembly, with overheating issues explained!

Came here because my UMCv2 started overheating. It is summer and very hot in the garage (90F at it's coldest during the night), but it didn't really do this last summer; I'm throttling down to 16A every day now, even when I start the charge @ 4:00 AM. Less than 3 minutes later I get text that VIN is assigned — WHAAAAAAAT! 203xxx in the house, confirmed AMD & Li-ion 12v, they said it doesn't have wipers or read double pane (not a biggie for me). Recent MYP Delivery Estimates

It used to but hasn't for at least a year. If you need one (I highly recommend a 14-50 on a 50A breaker for home charging if you can have one installed), I would get the 14-50 adapter ahead of time because it's not always in stock.

Gotcha. Can you tell me what you did to place it on hold? This is the reason I logged in, to see if there's a VIN to place it on hold. I heard you should ideally wait till there's VIN before you call in to place it on hold — is this the accepted way?

    amps cuts to 31 now...

It’s a bug with the new app/firmware it’s not an issue with the charge equipment. Mine’s doing 31A now for no reason as well. 2021.36.8 didn’t fix it, not sure if bug is in car’s new firmware to support this functionality, new app to support this functionality, or both.

New M3LR stuck on firmware 2021.3.103

So I think what's actually happening is that there are multiple branches (if you're familiar with working with code) which are all production but for different targets. It's somewhat intensive, esp if you have the 7 seater — the two rear seats were a pain to do. Also, I did mine in end of July Texas heat, doing it now should be more comfortable. I did two coats (and in some places 3) and because of OCD it was quite the job. I'm a fit endurance athlete and I...

    Current Delivery Times

I used GYEON Quartz. The car had ~10 miles when I applied it, did pretty intense prep first even though the seats were "new" — doesn't matter what you use if it doesn't have the chance to bond well, so prep is the most critical step. I did wheels-off ceramic on the wheels, that was a major...
