    Thought I'd start a RN116X thread (group).

Picked up today; order date Feb 15 2022. No mobile charger. Got the $200 coupon code but haven’t acted on it yet. All good so far.

Same thing happened to me last week. Ordered 15 Feb 2022 —- theoretically taking delivery (in Maryland) next week.

    P85DL HV Battery Replacement

I just retrieved the vehicle last night, so I haven't made a detailed measurement, but yes, after charging last night, it does appear to have improved in both respects as you suggest.

    P85DL HV Battery Replacement

I want to add my experience to this thread. I just retrieved my 2015 P85DL (see signature) with what I believe is a new 90 kWh pack replaced under warranty. I was about 1 yr 3 mos away from end of warranty. Process end-to-end took 7 weeks +/- The attached photos show what I had vs. what I...

    350V 85/90 kWh - not Ludicrous compatible

I think I am about to face the OPs situation. The vehicle was reporting a 100% SOC after it had been driven 50 miles or more….and of course it wasn’t charged to 100% in the first place. A call to roadside service allowed for diagnostics that showed the SOC was actually at about 75% +/-…..so I...

I see my old P85D on Tesla's used inventory

Given the recent promotional performance upgrade, I figured why not...so I guess the answer is yes. I should mention that the car just crossed 55K miles as well....so it is out of warranty (except for the power train and battery). Despite the accident it has been, and is a very reliable...

I see my old P85D on Tesla's used inventory

Here is some related info. I just got a trade offer from Tesla.....my car was in an accident with driver airbags deployed. Offer = $30K. Interestingly the CARFAX estimated trade is: $41.5K apparently also accounting for the accident.

I charged to 87% and got 210 miles on P85DL is that bad?

Just to add another data point. 55K miles. Rated Range = 221/222 at 90% SOC. Charge to 90% nightly.

    Just Got Rear Ended...Now What?

I feel like I had a similar experience....I figure the knucklehead was looking at his cell phone while at the traffic light........First I cried....no kidding. The car was less than 6 months old. Then I brought the car to my local authorized Tesla Body Shop. They removed, "repaired" (they can...

Performance of P85D with Ludicrous upgrade review

You need a more precise measurement. The most cost effective way that I know to get that is to use PowerTools for Tesla (compatible with IPhone/IPad). Charge to 95%, max battery on.....I think you will see above 450 kW.

P85D For Sale or Lease Transfer

RWD vs AWD 50000 miles vs 13000 miles (whether this makes much of a difference is certainly debatable!) Next-gen seats Autopilot And significant performance and handling differences. Tesla Model S P85D VS. P85+ Drag Race - Gas 2 One would have to decide for themselves whether performance, a...

P85D For Sale or Lease Transfer

I suspect an informed buyer will know there is a vast difference between the OP vehicle's capabilities and value as compared to the vehicle that is offered at the link above.

NEMA 14-50 in the garage for $450 - is that fair?

It is not "unfair." It could be argued that the price is a little high if the breaker box is in the garage. Let's face it. It's just an installation of a 240V/50A receptacle that will carry up to 40A continuous with the necessary wire run from the box to the receptacle. If your breaker box...

collision avoidance fails to detect golf ball

I completely agree. Paintless dent repair works great and will probably cost you $100 or less (at least that's true here in MD).

Newer P90DL makes 662 hp at the battery!!!

I hope Its the current vs the voltage drop as you suggest. If the improvement is because of lower voltage drop, that may indicate that the 90D battery is fundamentally more capable than the 85D battery......which is certainly plausible. And thus the P85DL is at the limit of its performance...

    Ludicrous Upgrade Scheduling?

I forgot to mention that they also did the yearly maintenance on mine as well.........which I can't imagine took them more than an hour given what they did......alignment, windshield wipers, general inspection......and oil change plus new plugs (that probably took awhile) Have fun with the...

    Ludicrous Upgrade Scheduling?

I am not sure that timing makes sense but who knows. Here is my experience. 1) I brought the vehicle to Rockville SC at 730 AM Monday 20 June with an SOC of 25%.....they asked that it be 30% or less. 2) Midday they start charging my car (goof up) and I receive a call later in the afternoon...

Newer P90DL makes 662 hp at the battery!!!

Just to add to the record, I hit 453 kW at 91% SOC with max battery on and ready (power tools measured). First launch since my L upgrade was completed Thursday. Battery: 1074980-00-E. ODO: 16.7K, rated range: 224@90%

    Pano roof leaking

I had the same issue......it took them two tries to get it right, but it was ultimately a straightforward fix. They completely replaced the gasketing on mine. Definitely solved the problem.

Weathertech Tesla Floormats curl up in the back row!

I just got a set of these from Rockville SC this week. So far all is good. Does this problem happen over time or due to high temps?

    The Rear Thump Sound

Me too. Rare......so I often think some one is bumping into my rear end when it happens. Annoying; but so far not a major issue.

The big question. Nag or No Nag?

I believe this is an accurate description of the current incarnation of the AP capability. I drove from Pasadena MD to Salisbury MD (about 90 miles) and back in the last few days. I used AP on a sizeable portion of the trip (a 50 mile stretch on Route 50 on Maryland's Eastern Shore). The...

    Leak from pano?

BTW, my car sits in a garage most of the time, and I tend to avoid driving it in bad weather, so I suspect I would be in a real bind if the circumstances were different and the car was in the elements more often. My situation allows me to reluctantly tolerate the problem until my next...

    Leak from pano?

I have the same issue, that has been addressed once by the Rockville SC. It isn't fixed. It appears to be more likely to happen if I have opened to vent position and then closed it, as opposed to opening the roof wide and then closing. It just doesn't seem to seal quite right 100% of the time...

Stop the Press! Tesla announces REAL HP numbers for P85D and P90L

It appears that you can view the "rear wheel drive specs" for the 85 and 70 but not for the P85......I am pretty sure that many would like to see the horsepower differential of the P85D and the P85.

I have definitely experienced the bump/nudge feeling. Had it before V7, and I believe I still do.

    90D Range slowly declining

Those were the numbers I had up to about 3500 miles.........do you think your driving/charging behavior is keeping you in this like new state, or are you just fortunate?

    90D Range slowly declining

The numbers for my P85D are virtually identical to yours....223 @ 90%/248 @ 100%. Vehicle is 7 months old with 7300 miles. Started with 253 @ 100% when new.

Autopilot a fraud? The linked author bets Elon he'll eat a hat if it changes lanes!

Calling P85D owners world-wide for survey and complaint letter

I tend not to comment on forums much, but this is my observation from the perspective of an electrical engineer. Mr. Sorka always tries to offer data with a thorough analysis to support his position on this topic. Mr. dsm363 (among others on this forum) engages in this debate with Mr. Sorka...

What does your HPWC (High Power Wall Connector) look like

My electrician used a hole saw to cut a nice clean hole in the side. When doing so he put a small piece of wood down inside the hpwc to ensure the saw didn't inadvertently bump into any of the wires or terminals etc.

Does everyone have trouble opening their charge port door?

Yes, it is hard to tell how pervasive this issue is. Fortunately it has been an irritation/frustration (perhaps solved) versus a major problem. There appear to be many folks who have never seen this problem at all....... such as yourself I presume given your response. Just for clarity, when I...

Does everyone have trouble opening their charge port door?

I am quoting myself here as I think I have found that the solution to #2 above is to hold the hpwc handle vertically and at about head height......and then push the button. It seems to work every time. Others have suggested holding the handle near the rear window as well.....probably works too...

LTE upgrade is on the way

I will take a stab at 2. Above. It appears that the gyro is a reference to the accelerometers on the GPS module. This module, like the LTE module, is on one of the MCU (media control unit --- the 17 inch display) printed circuit boards. Note that the parts list includes a UBLOX GPS as well as...

    Automatic Emergy Braking Disabled

What he said. I was told by Rockville SC to do that every few months for good measure. I have only had to do it to solve the problem you are having, and when 3G stopped working at one point.

Does everyone have trouble opening their charge port door?

There seems to be two separate problems being discussed here. 1) charge port door is not opening due to a sticky substance and/or 2) charge port door isn't getting the signal from the HPWC or UMC handle. My particular problem is #2 which is easy to work around (temporarily) as all other...
