This really limits the number of chargers open to non-Tesla EVs. Or we can look at it as keeping V2 charges open solely to Teslas. Slower yes, but it's better than waiting on non-Tesla owners who have filled up all the chargers. Plus many "legacy" Teslas like my 2016 MX can't charge above 125 kW.

Prob waiting on approval of state funding for chargers under the IRA. I recall reading a few weeks ago in the New Mexican that Tesla was granted 7 locations of the 22 sites to be funded by the State of New Mexico. Bernalillo & Wagon Wheel were among them.

I upgraded my 2016 MX to MCU2 several years ago (cost of $1,500) because of the slow start-up issue. Never regretted the upgrade - definitely worth the cost.

I was there last week and twice plugged into one of the four ChargePoint J1772 chargers. The most activity was one Model Y also using a J1772 charger. Naturally, no one was using either of the 2 CCS chargers.

Yeah, there are very few Supercharge location with only 4 chargers (like Farmington). An upgrade is def in order!

The price per KWh is set at the cost paid by the condo bldg. in our instance (in So. Fla), it was $0.093/KWh - very cheap! We paid Evercharge based on our usage & they reimbursed the bldg HOA for the electricity used.

That is consistent with my experience with Evercharge - we were able to suspend the $15/mo payment when we lived in our second home.

This afternoon, I was driving south from Farmington NM through the Navajo Nation rez on US 550 & saw a car carrier headed north with 3 MYs and a Cybertruck! Probably coming from the Bernalillo service center? There’s no service centers or stores around Farmington or in SW Colorado/Four Corners...

Not only the cost, but also the sketchy reliability of CCS charges has convinced me to rely solely on the SC network.

I received the battery fuse replacement notice (BMS_u031) on my April 2016 MX P90DL this week. Apparently it will take an hour at the local Service Center and will be covered under the battery pack warranty (BTW, I’m at 84k miles). Very nice that Tesla is being proactive on this issue!

PNM (the local utility) has a program for low cost overnight charging- see the attached screensho from their website. I have solar panels, so I haven’t signed up for this program but it may be worthwhile.

We had lunch in Alamosa on 8/28 - no progress at the site. But the nearby pizza restaurant was great!

I also have had that issue with my 2016 MX P90DL - I found that jiggling the headrest has helped loosen something (?) and the seat would then go down.

I’ve spent the week driving around northern Arizona on FSD and the only issue I’ve had is with all the new rotaries built by AZDOT lately - they’re everywhere & FSD can’t seem to handle them. I’m on 11.4.4 - is anyone having to take over at almost every rotary?

My MX gave me a warning that the 12V battery was about to die (2.5 years in So. Fla. heat), so i had mobile service come & replace the 12V under warrant..

You can buy Teslas in NM - or at least take delivery here. The car will more than likely be titled in Colorado & you’ll have to pay the 4% NM sales tax when you apply for a NM tag & title. CO does not charge any sales tax on this transactio.

The Bernalillo service center was open last Saturday June 24 for both service and test drives.

I confirmed during the TOCNM tour - the Superchargers at the service center won’t be open to the public.

I downloaded 2023.6.8 and it killed the active spoiler on my 2016 MX. This is pretty common with updates (there are prob very few Xs with active spoilers out there). Usually Tesla sends another update to fix the bug pretty quickly.

There are a number of restaurants and pubs in the area. Plus the public library a few blocks away has public restrooms.

Status as of 2/24/2024. Very large. No sign of the Superchargers to be installed nearby.

I’m not sure where DOE/EPA got their range estimates, but my MX maxed out at 230 miles when I took delivery. Mind you, there were improvements in battery management and motor efficiencies, so it wouldn’t surprise me that MXs built later in 2016 had more range.

I’m wondering if some of these new I-40 supercharger locations might include the new 1 meg kWh chargers for the Tesla Semi/Cybertruck.

My April 2016 P90DL MX is also at 199 miles at 90% charge with 80k miles on the odometer. But it was never more than 230 miles at 100% when new (so I’m thinking it’s had 5% decrease). Are you sure about the 250 miles range when new?

I just noticed on my Tesla account a $10k reduction in the price of the MS that will be delivered this upcoming Monday! Boy, I really complained about the delays in the delivery date and now it turns out that I just got lucky!

I agree with the comparison to the Model Y. When we did a test drive first with Model Y, then drove the Model S immediately afterward, we noticed a huge difference between the two models and placed an order for a red MS!

MY MS LR is scheduled for delivery here in Santa Fe on 12/27 or 12/28. They gave the 10k miles of free supercharging but no other discounts. That said, they did give us a liberal trade-in value on the 12 yr old ICE car that we’ll turn over to them.

In Alamosa, there’s another ChargePoint just off Main Street that’s closer to several restaurant. I’ve taken a few long lunches there just to make it worth my while to plug in!

Plus a 6 year old Model X is never going get much over 120kW! 😩

I plugged in last friday (April 1), there were three other teslas plugged in. The rate of charge was rather slow (84 kW) and my charge level was below 50%. So maybe they have a few issues to work out. But the additional charges in ABQ are certainly welcome!

Do you have the V11 update? This problem has disappeared since i installed the update.

I had the same issue today for the first time - just came on after an overnight reboot. MCU2 w/ radio upgrade, currently on 2021.44.6.

My experience with the existing Albuquerque SC is that it’s very busy - not uncommon to have to wait for a charge. Plus the existing chargers are older v2 type. These new ones will certainly help!

I visited the Nambe service center today (9/17) and learned they are primarily a service center right now. Deliveries (at least in large numbers) won’t start for a few months. The showroom is still a work-in-progress - no vehicles on display, though they are offering test drives.

I’ve relied on those L2 chargers in Alamosa to make from Santa Fe to Poncha Springs in my X (max range is about 225).

I am also running 2021.4.18.2 and my active spoiler is behaving normally.

I’m in South Florida and I haven’t had a problem with my X, but keeping it in a garage makes a difference - parked in the hot sun, the interior temps can get out of control!

When I upgraded my MCU1 to MCU2 last month, the cost was $1,500, plus another $500 for the FM tuner. The upgrade was worth the money imo (rather than waiting for the recall) - much faster system, a usable web browser, many more entertainment features. And I lost none of my settings/favorites...

The only installation cost was to run the 220V power line to the spaces designated by the HOA (the HOA paid that cost, which was substantial because they choose spaces that were far away from the power source). The individual EV owners pay $15/mo. to Evercharge plus the cost of the electricity...

I had a similar experience - the mobile tech said the cable inside the door had frayed and caused the window to jam. After he replaced the cable, it’s been trouble-free to almost 2 years!

Have you updated to 2020.48 and noticed any improvement? I took my MX to a service center and was told that a "reflash" of the module is recommended - replacement of the eMMC would only be done if the car was completely inoperable! I just got 2020.48 today so I'm hoping that will fix the dark...

So I took my 2016 X into service for this same issue - it’s been recurring for about a year. I gave them a copy of the eMMC warranty extension. All they did was a “reflash” of the module and run a diagnostic, then claimed everything was fine. Apparently, to qualify for the 64GB eMMC...
