    What wasn't said.

What I heard: Autopilot hardware is standard. Safety features (software) are standard. He said nothing more. Autopilot software will be an option.

Anyone know anything about the Czech Republic superchargers

Great news! It appears to be the marker that I marked as 'Jihlava' on the map from Geneva. Also Bratislava location has appeared on official Tesla webpage.

    European SuperCharger rollout updated

I was at Geneva autosalon on Tuesday and they have a huge map of Europe with the Supercharger network now and plans for 2016. Take it with a grain of salt please.

Anyone know anything about the Czech Republic superchargers

I was at Geneva Motor Show yesterday, and they had a huge poster with Supercharger Network development for 2016: In Czech Republic, this approximates to Teplice(Usti Nad Labem?), Praha, Jihlava (?), Prostejov(?). In Slovakia, this approximates to Bratislava-Petrzalka.

    Hidden 72 amp charging option

US Model X charger is 12kW default and 18kW with secret option. EU default is 16.5kW (and only option)

Design Studio open for everyone who has a reservation, not only sigs, in Europe

In Switzerland we pay 2500 CHF surcharge compares to US prices. This is reasonable! There was 11000 surcharge for Signatures. Base price is 104900 CHF + 500 CHF delivery. We have 8% VAT, therefore the pre-tax price is 97100 CHF or 89100 EUR. Can someone tell me price for base 90D model with no...

    European charging port

Seems to be 24A as well. Mobile connector + Blue adapter is doing some magic where it spreads the load on all three phases, and then can charge at 1x32A

    European charging port

According to a post on German Forum, European Model X has a 16.5kW charger, which means 24A with three phases. US Model S is using 10kW charging with 20kW with double charger. (40 and 80A) EU Model S is using 11kW charging with 22kW with double charger. (3x16 and 3x32A) US Model X is using 12kW...

Invites starting in Europe for Sigs.!

Base Signature X was $132000 + delivery fee + sales tax when configurator opened in US. Base Signature X is 133800 EUR + delivery fee + VAT (per country) when configurator opened in EU. $132000 = 121500 EUR. There is difference of 12300 EUR before tax (!) Let's look at Model S. Base S90D is...

Invites starting in Europe for Sigs.!

What taxes is this? Is there any other tax than VAT? I am counting with VAT in my formula. 8% for Switzerland, 19% for Germany. Is there 10k in custom duties? If I compare model S (base 90D): US price: 88000 + destination fee + sales tax CH price: 92900 + destination fee (8% tax included) In...

Invites starting in Europe for Sigs.!

Thank you! Compared to the US price it is 11150 CHF too much :( I reserved only a non-sig version. But if there is 10k surcharge on that one, I will have to cancel and wait for Model 3... The US prices are already on the ceiling of what I am willing to pay. This surcharge cannot be for the car...

Invites starting in Europe for Sigs.!

Please post screenshots of Swiss prices! Base Sig in US was $132000 if I remember correctly plus the delivery fee. That would mean German price should be EUR 145000 including tax and Swiss price CHF 142500 including tax. If the NL price is 162000 EUR, that means about 14800 surcharge (for...

Active Spoiler viewed from the Dash Cam

I want that spoiler on my non-P version. I would gladly replace the auto-presenting doors with the spoiler. Or air suspension.

    Model X goes Europe

Sorry. We mostly talked about the EU pricing and whether EU will have same options as US (e.g. mandatory air suspension with 90 battery, mandatory leather with premium pakcage). They said that the EU configurations will be made public around march, and we should talk again then.

    Model X goes Europe

I talked with some people from EU Tesla, and: * They are working really hard to get Model X to Geneva, with 99% probability of success. * The European configurator will open in approximately 8 weeks (end of March?) I have purchased the tickets to Geneva yesterday. Fingers crossed :)

    To 72 A or not to 72 A?

I am not getting the 72A charger (or its European equivalent) because Elon said we shouldn't. But seriously, for long distance travel I will only consider Superchargers and possibly ChaDeMo chargers as last resort. Anything slower than that is useless for continuous travel. Default charger...

Can't Order Standard Seating with Premium Upgrade Package

This makes me sad :( I am not interested in leather seats nor in the air suspension. However if I want 90D with biohazard mode, I am forced to get both :( I'm willing to pay for the whole premium package (4500) even if I do not care for half of the features, but the air suspension+leather is...

    Signature Savings for X

I have created a spreadsheet where you can configure model X and see price of signature and production variants. It appeats that Signature version gives you options worth $24000 for $16500. Therefore if you are interested in more than 68% of the options, and want Performance version, signature...

Does it make sense to reserve a Model 3 asap if you want a base version?

I plan on reserving both base and sig version. You can cancel the one you do not want later at negligible cost.

    Production X Configuration Has Begun!

I have made a simple Google Spreadsheet configurator for model X. You can use it by making your own copy. Let me know if there are any errors.

Update: Model X has a single charger, but only 48A capable

Thank you CmdrThor. As addendum, I would say that if you have 200 mile roundtrip commute, then you have a totally different problem in your life than charging speed of your car. Regain your sanity, move :)

Update: Model X has a single charger, but only 48A capable

If you have 90kW model and you charge at 12kW at cheap rate, you'll get 48kWh. Assuming almost empty battery, you still need to get 32kWh at more expensive rate. In my country the difference is 9 cents per kWh. Therefore the difference is $2.88 per day. Assuming you do this every working day, of...

Update: Model X has a single charger, but only 48A capable

What's UP with the 4 hours of cheap electricity? Here in Switzerland I get 13 hours of lower tariff electricity daily, plus like 40 hours nonstop on the weekend. For me this is absolutely not an issue. Similar situation in many european countries I assume. 11kW charger is all we need.

Model X has single 72A charger

For Europe there are only these options: a) < 11 kW (small sockets, at least 4 standards) b) exactly 11 kW (three phase 16A) c) exactly 22 kW (three phase 32A) d) exactly 44 kW (three phase 64A) Because of this standardization, it does not make sense to offer anything else than 11 or 22 kW...

How may EVs does it take before demands become an issue for the Grid?

Some back of the envelope calculations: Total electricity generated in 2014: 20000 TWh (world), 4400 TWh (USA) If you drive a Tesla 10000 miles a year, at 300 Wh/mile that is 3MWh per Tesla car. Therefore if all electricity in the world was used for driving Teslas only, the planet would support...
